Tonight is the night it all begins. Which will you be primarily be watching (live not DVRd that is)?
AEW has the curiosity advantage IMO being their 1st ever TV show. NXT pulling out their guns with a night of title defenses

AEW for me personally.
It's something completely fresh.

For sure thats how I'm starting too. Gotta think they'll kick things off with a bang, like a 3 way tag match for the belts or something to hook us early. IMO they need to because, as we've mentioned here, their undercard kind of sucks and theirs women's division is even worse.

NXT might be having its most compelling match of the year tonight in Cole vs Riddle, but AEW has done such a good job of making me want them to succeed - I'll be watching AEW.

I must confess, the Riddle / Cole match is too good to pass up, and boy are these guys delivering right now!

Ugh, I'm watching AEW!
This "War" is as advertised so far!

I went with NXT because I've been watching it for years, but I don't have cable so neither of them would benefit from me watching anyway.

Well I guess AEW having an immediate encore makes it easy. Watch NXT live, then AEW on the replay

I ended up watching AEW because where I live I don't have a choice but even if I did I would've watched AEW
because we've already seen NXT and know what its all about. AEW needs our support if it's gonna succeed and
we need it to be as successful as possible to get WWE from being complacent because Vince has been mailing it
in for so many years.

Well week 1 ratings are in and AEW trampled NXT 1.4 to .9
Curious to find out how much of it was due to curiosity being their 1st ever weekly broadcast. Next week should be a better indicator of things moving forward

I'm a little surprised that NXT couldn't manage to pull a 1, but then again I have no idea what any of this means.

I thought HHH told us AEW was a "pissant company" ?

I'm not really surprised at all that AEW won the first week. They're the new, exciting company. NXT has been around for years and people were probably comfortable watching it later like most of us have done for years with weekly NXT.
I'd expect the numbers to balance out over time, especially if NXT continues to be as good as it was last night. Through two weeks, it's like we're getting a mini-Takeover. If they can keep that up, and they might be able to given how stacked the roster is, AEW will have trouble competing because their roster is so much more shallow.

Wasn’t sure what thread to put this in but looking at everything that’s transpired in the last week with both companies, my perception is that one company loves their fan base and appeases them to almost the point of fan service and the other has so much disdain for their insanely massive fan base to the point of full on blatant trolling. I’m skeptical of AEW but if they can find a happy medium they are going to have a great product and though I think the wwe monster has grown to a level that they’ll never be second again, AEW has a real shot to be viable and the long term #2 option.

Wasn't sure where to put this but now the current wrestling week looks like this here...
Monday - RAW
Tuesday - Impact and NWA
Wednesday - AEW
Thursday - NXT
Friday - Smackdown
Saturday - Can be used to catch up on MLW or NJPW or other promotions
Sunday - ROH and PPVs of different companies

AEW 2
NXT 0
AEW wins again. Both shows ratings fell quite a bit, roughly 1.1 for AEW and .8 for NXT. AEW has a pretty good grip right now on the audience

Damn, isn't 1.1 TNA numbers?
