To be fair, I am just not sure how to get people invested given the times we live in.

I’ll probably watch some of this here and there but other than the Asuka/Banks/Bayley situation there’s not really anything compelling on the card save for some morbid curiosity about Rey’s kid.

So who's the leader of Retribution? They gotta reveal it at SummerSlam, right? How about Roman?

I actually don't mind this card all around. Happy to see Mandy and Sonya both getting ppv time

Like the Seth and Dominik match and the Braun and Fiend match and Mcentyre and Orton should be pretty physical and solid too. I'm only not that interested in the asuka banks and Bayley trifecta

Would be typical WWE if the leader of a 'revolution' is the guy who always has been pushed to the moon.

Sami Zayn would be cool as a leader.

This might be the first SummerSlam I've ever missed live (because my Raptors have a playoff game at the same time)
I may have missed one live in the late 80's/early 90's as a kid and rented the VHS tape later on but I can't fully remember.

Hell last year I was in the crowd during SummerSlam but this year I will not be watching live I'll probably watch after the
game or tomorrow morning although I still haven't watched NXT Takeover yet. I was one of those hardcore fans that I could
never see spoilers and had to watch everything. I still watch every show and PPV but I no longer care about getting spoilers.

I'm a live tweeter and read up on stuff frequently so tonight during the NBA/NHL playoffs I will be getting people on
my Time Line talking about and giving spoilers on SummerSlam. By the time I get around to watching it after I'll probably
know everything and who the leader of Retribution is and I'm perfectly fine with that. This is the first crack in my hardcore
fandom in 30-35 years.

Wrestling in particular really seems to suffer from the lack of an actual crowd because it's not an actual athletic competition. It's a show and the crowd has always been a part of it.

Exactly right. It's like trying to tell a story without a setting.

Second biggest show of the year and the first match ends with a f*cking roll-up. God this company sucks.

But at least they gave me a free month of the Network.

I think Sami would be **** annoying as the leader. He can talk, but anytime he’s had ample mic time as a heel, he was so annoying.

Sidebar: where has Otis been ? I haven’t been watching super regularly but he is still the MITB holder, right ?

Sonya Deville looks exactly like Matt Hardy walking to the ring lol.

Mandy Rose is comically attractive. Like, ridiculously attractive.

Please don't do Bray like this again.

Also Roman won't be heel, just watch him be a face despite everything (cause Vince honestly has no idea what makes a compelling modern face and clearly Pritchard doesn't either).

Also, not sure who is the worst play by play in wrestling today, Josh matthews or Michael Cole, he made everything worse and by association to him, uncool, Cole is also 100% the worst play by play of all time though, without question.

You can be a compelling modern face for about 30 seconds and then you're no longer compelling. I'm not saying they know what they're doing, but it's pretty tough to portray a top good guy in 2020.
