Far too many matches.

Well, you know your on the chopping block if you couldn't make that card! Goes to show that AEW has some of the same issue now that WWE always has... Too many guys and can't push everybody.

When guys like Andrade, Brian Cage, FTR can't make a 12 match card then it doesn't look good for their outlook.

They need to stop this Guevara-Scorpio nonsense with the TNT title when they have guys like Andrade just wallowing in no man’s land atm.

FTR has been on fire lately though. I don’t think them not being on the card reflects anything negative about them.

Still though, it’s a crowded card, and the thing that’s weird is that it’s like some of these matches were just thrown together last minute the last few weeks. Darby-KOR? Why? The Bucks v Hardyz seemed really half assed too. Death Triangle-House of Black has also drawn on too long. This should’ve and had the opportunity to reach its climax weeks ago. Though I know Fenix’s injury delayed things. And I’m not sure anyone is actually interested in ATT-Sammy/Conti/Kazarian garbage.

And not only is Andrade great in the ring whenever he's used for that, but now he's married to Charlotte! Not a bad idea to push him to also lure her in kind of how Britt Baker's push lured over Adam Cole

Wanted to add though that I don't do much mind the Guevara/Scorpio thing. It's a sold heel vs heel feud and I don't mind those when it makes sense. But yea Darby vs KOR is more of a Rampage main event. If they're gonna throw in a KOR match Might as well just make it a red dragon match. Was it originally supposed to be Red Dragon vs Darby/sting before sting got hurt ?

That’s fair. I just don’t think it’s Belt worthy. Sammy’s been in the TNT picture long enough, would like to see someone else. Especially with the talent on the roster.

Criticisms of the crowded card were valid IMO. Way too much mediocre **** to get to any of the meat and potatoes. But I guess they really didn’t want to go against Heat-Celtics before any of the good stuff.

Tag Titles and Main Event Delivered. I know there are people who will have loved the Anarchy match even though it was a bit much for me. Then I thought the House of Black-Death Triangle match was great and it was satisfying to see MJF eat 10 power bombs. But everything else was pretty underwhelming.

I thought both Owen Finals were boring, they could’ve used the tournament to showcase some of their talent but same old faces. Would’ve preferred to see someone like Dax in the final, Dax-KOR would’ve been a good match and then on the women’s side, why not Statlander or Hayter? There were better matches during the tournament then both finals were pretty anti-climactic. Fumbled IMO, but I dunno what kind of politics are going on for those results.

I also think they overthought the whole not wanting to compete with game 7 thing. They weren't fighting for cable t.v. ratings, this was a PPV that people paid to watch. Like if fans wanna pay for the show and opt to flip back and forth to the game, that's the fans loss. Lol
