Fat Guys

Post#1 » by Mike Hunt » Wed Jan 28, 2009 9:19 pm

I remember when I was a kid, I was always interested by the fat guys of the sport. That seems to be an element that's almost completely gone from wrestling today (The guy formally known as Mabel is the only one I can think of and maybe Umaga).

Here are a few interesting Fat guys I was a fan of, I invite you guys to add to the list and to talk about your favourites.

Some bigger names:

-Andre the Giant
-Earthquake
-Tugboat/Typhoon
-King Kong Bundy
-Vader
-Yokozuna

Some lesser knowns:

-Bastion Booger
-Mantaur

Man, how could you have a list of big guys and not include Bam or Bossman?

Bam Bam Bigelow was a borderline fat guy. He was big but he was freakishly agile, not many fat guys did cartwheels and had moves from the top-rope (I guess Vader did). Bossman was a big guy but I never thought of him as a fat guy...

Bastion Booger..oh man, that cat was flat out gross

Bam was a big guy dude. It's just he was so insanely agile that people never viewed him as an intimidating big like Earthquake and Yoko.

Bret Hart's even gone on record to say Bam will always be the most talented big guy he's ever worked with.

I doubt we will see any more big guys who get a big push in a while. Vince either likes the body builder type or the smaller "no roids/cm punk" type, depending on his mood.

Bam Bam >>> Vader.

Vader was stiff as ****. Bam never hurt a dude he was wrestling. Not on purpose, anyways.

Big Show was more big than fat, too. In his prime he was, anyways.
