The Raw, SD and NXT Thread

Traffic has picked up over the last couple months, so we may as well start posting our thoughts on the weekly shows.
Dec. 7, 2009
Tonight's edition of WWE Raw will be broadcast live from The American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas. The show is being guest hosted by Dallas Maverick's owner Mark Cuban, and there have been teases of a possible match between him and Cody Rhodes tonight. Additionally, it was announced last week that the main event of tonight's show will be Triple H and Shawn Michaels vs Chris Jericho in a handicap match.

Big show using the one thing bigger than him as a weapon. Love it.

When Jericho cut his promo, all of the Jericho sucks promos looked exactly the same. ie. they were being passed out prior to entrance into the event.

They're doing a great job of getting Sheamus some heat. The place blew up when he said he was the new wwe champ after Cuban went through the table.
Cuban is the man for letting them put him through a table though. If they're going to do guest hosts, get people like Cuban who appreciate the industry and want to be a part of it. No guys who think the WWE's big summertime PPV is called summerfest.
Waste of a Miz match, but I thought the woman's match was entertaining.

I always enjoy Maryse matches/segments they make me feel happy in my downstairs place.
Vulgarity aside, the problem with Miz is there isn't a mid-card face for him to feud with. There content making Bourne and Primo jobbers, Henry is nice in small doses but he's just too limited. MVP has the total package and I have no idea why the don't push him.

They should move Christian over and have him feud with Miz.

He would be a great choice as his saracsm would be a great foil for the self-important Miz. I still think he should, and will, be on Smackdown within 2 months. Smackdown needs a top flight face. Morrison looks like the McIntyre feud will last a while, Mysterio is there stop gap option and Taker is 146 years old. I expect Christian will eventually lose the feud to Shelton and he'll be traded to Smackdown and I'd think Dolph Ziggler would be a good trade option.

As far as guest hosts, next week could be the bad once again. I could definitely see Dennis Miller getting some X-Pac heat.

Maryse is ****ing gorgeous. Blondes aren't usually my thing but holy ****. I can even put off that disgusting french accent that I have to hear every day of my life as not that bad.

I must scan downtown to find her residence. >__>
That being said, Hogan's gonna be down here in two days. I drew a huge portrait of him; gonna try and get him to autograph it for me and cherish it on my wall.
As for Raw, finally. . . FINALLY Sheamus is getting some heat. And Cuban's awesome.

It's sad to see Maryse get so little crowd reaction week after week. She tries so hard too.

Punk and R Truth are both ridiculously over right now. It's really fun to watch.

Congratulations Jeremy Piven. It looks like by the end of the night you won't be the worst Raw guest host yet.
At least Piven calling Summerslam, Summerfest was inadvertant. There's just no excuse for thinking a global warming joke will go over well.

The crowd booed Obama and Cena. Awesome.
What an awful choice for guest host. Who thought this guys material would go over with a monday night raw crowd.
King fake laughing was funny.

Its obvious why it happened. McMahon's right-wing politics. Whatever you think of them, McMahon's politics are well-known and when I heard this clown was gonna be hosting the show I knew that's why it was done. When he came out and chastised the crowd for being dead during Miller's "monologue" part of it was McMahon being a heel but I think part of it was some genuine dissapointment that Miller's right-wing jokes didn't get the reaction he'd hoped.
