but players who show potential during their rookie scale usually get a 'juiced contract' in their extension. The extra 5M a year is only about 4% of the salary cap so it's not a significant overpay. Hopefully, Simons continues that limited sample size trajectory and the contract ends up looking like a bargain
Nurkic at 4/70 is worse than Simons at 4/100....but neither contract is close to the Crabbe or Evan Turner or Meyers Leonard debacles
Yeah I feel nurk or simons at that amount is far better than those other Terrible deals. We should, at least, be able to get out from them if things turn sideways barring something catastrophic
