Warriors say: "Never Mind, we didn't mean it"

Bob Meyers can go pound a bunch of sand, then eat it. He trashed Portland as an organization to distract from his crappy trade deadline. He said Portland lied to him but it's looking like he was the one lying

Lol that does make them look pretty silly. I'm really curious for the dirt that went on behind the scenes to lead to this whole situation, what lead the Warriors front-office to react this way. I am guessing maybe this was a last minute alteration that they didn't vet or run through as many decision makers as they usually would and were trying to save face for making a poor trade without fully considering the facts available to them. In the immediate aftermath of a realized mistake so many people are very likely to try and protect their own ego first by assigning blame to someone else - the lady doth protest too much, methinks.
Who knows though, but from this I would at least surmise that at this point the Warriors medical staff has reached a similar place as Portland, that there isn't anything fundamentally wrong with his back and he is not at risk of reinjuring himself by playing through pain but they don't know why it continues to be a bother to him.
I will say though, this was a pretty damaging accusation to Portland and I wouldn't be surprised if we lodge some sort of counter complaint behind the scenes. I personally was disappointed by the trade deadline direction (and was a huge GP2 fan) so was all too happy to believe a horrible rumor like this and will admit to being misled by it and that is why organizations need to be more careful about what sort of dirt they decide to fling or leak to the public. There was a good week or two where everyone was bad mouthing the Blazers over this nothing-burger and those sort of perceptions can stick around in the more casual viewers mind.

Yes, GPII obviously hasn't played for GSW in the first 20 games following the trade just to support the lie.

Re: Warriors say "never mind"
What's hilarious is the Blazers do have a bit of a case here that the Warriors office made them look pretty bad. Now I doubt Portland pursues anything, but they went straight to the media with their complaints. They never bothered to contact the Blazers front office to find out more information or discuss the situation.
They were desperate to get GP II back and they know it, even if they have to wait an entire season to see GP II play again he has become a huge part of that team. He might be the most important player not named Klay, Curry, or Green.

I said at the time, and I still beleive... Portland SHOULD punch back. It was clear defamation by some GS beat writers that IMO, the league SHOULD investigate. Reason being, Cronin, and the organizations reputation was blatently attacked, and that could directly affect another teams decision on whether they want to do business with the Blazers.
Strong acusations of cheating were made, openly, and I'd think it fair that the NBAs investigation be so thorough, that it extends beyond just our potential wrong doing, and looks deep into the potential damage the Warriors may have caused Portland. Seems only fair to me.

So nice of Bob to drag an innocent medical staff that makes a fraction of his salary through the mud just because he got butt hurt he blew it with a #2 pick that was supposed to be the next generation of being “light years ahead”.

Warriors were ridiculously petty in this situation, and they’re looking like the only Wiseman didnt work out was because of their system. Wiseman looks like a solid pro, why he wasn’t playing in Golden State is a pretty bad look on them.

Actually wanted the Lakers to beat the Warriors. Glad to see them go down. Hated to cheer the Lakers. Not wild about the Nuggets either, but Go Denver. [No exclamation mark. Just an acknowledgement of the enemy of my enemy.]
