Not sure why Cronin didn’t go after Bol or Bamba or even try to keep Wiseman.

I almost feel like the Crolshey label is going out of date at this point. I’m legit stunned how little the Blazers have done this summer. This was the most important summer they’ve had since maybe… 78? When Walton asked out… they they’ve done legit **** all nothing. They made draft picks, resigned their own FAs and that’s it.

I’m not saying signing Bol Bol changes much, but to not even remotely try to still craft a team or look for value signings is insane. Value signings have a place in roster construction. Sometimes they pan out, sometimes they don’t, but at least **** try.

A Dame trade isn’t going to solve roster holes. You still need to do other parts of your job for that. The fact they’ve been legitimately paralyzed this summer because of Dame is ridiculous and why I think Cronin may be the worst GM this team has had since John Nash and Steve Patterson. I’m dating myself with this reference, but John was the GM brought in to tear down the JailBlazers and then Patterson took over and neither did nothing of positive consequence, they just foundered and were basically throwing dart boards at a wall blindfolded.

I guess at least with Cronin… he makes good draft picks? More than I can say for Nash and Patterson I suppose… but yeesh… the fact he’s doing nothing else this summer is kind of pathetic imo.

The fact Cronin took 5 first round picks over Wiseman still annoys me.

Perhaps Bol Bol wanted to play on a contending team behind KD?

I do agree that I hope we sign an athletic big. Scoot's development would benefit from a pick n roll/rim runner.

If there was anything redeeming about Wiseman don't you think Golden State would have held on to him? Why would this make you mad? GS has one of the best developmental programs in the NBA, and Wiseman is coming off a meniscus injury, ask Brandon Roy how those go? Just another paper airplane thrown at Cronin.

I disagree, Warriors do not draft and develop young players outside of Steph-Klay-Green. I think Wiseman doesn’t fit their system and Wiseman’s confidence has taken a hit. Wiseman’s would had been a great low risk to take. For some reason Blazers like on passing on big guys like Lauri and Wiseman and not rolling the dice on KP-Bol-Bamba.

If we would have gotten 5 first round picks in that trade, I'd be absolutely ecstatic, but alas, we didn't.

Hell, we'll be lucky to get 5 first round picks for Dame.

I would much rather have 5 SRP than Wiseman.

James isnt growing a brain anytime soon - he falls in that Beasley category - million dollar body and ten cent mind. Like w/ Bamba, Bol and such he will never click - I would bet money on that.

Another comparison for Wiseman is Bagley - empty stat low IQ tank commander.
