I think Joe wanted out of Dame's contract, and when Dame asked out, he was secretly happy about it. It gave him an out. That's why he didn't let Dame recind.
The team was faced with years of mediocrity and no realistic way to improve substantially. The Dame trade solved that and has in a round about way given us 3 building blocks in Deni,Camara and Clingan.
If we get Dame back as well for peanuts, it'll be a total coup. I think Dame wants to come back. This would be the best supporting cast he's played with since his rookie year.

If Dame recovers from his injury a little earlier than normal....and he wants to be a blazer again....and the Blazers have an open roster spot...then Dame can 'audition' on a 10-day contract. I really don't think that would be an insulting situation. Maybe Dame would see it that way, I don't know. But it would give the Blazers a bit of a preview of how Dame would be as a '35-year-old-about-to-be-36' PG trying to come back from the worst injury in basketball

Just watch BOS sign Dame who sits all year, semi tank, then get a high draft pick lol

Case, you literally made a post that our owner should worried about being murdered and up her security when Damian was traded. And not in a joking way, you were 100% serious. You've continued to write a lot of angry posts attacking everyone around the organizations on a personal level beyond their basketball moves, often for paragraphs at a time. So yes, I do think you have anger and frustration for the team that you constantly spill out on a level that is super intense and derails conversation for some people. You're the one who made a post, that you edited while I was replying, saying people had gotten quiet after you posted the trade rescinding. I was giving you feedback about why people might've gotten quiet, as others tried to give you in the draft thread when the same thing was happening.

It's a perfect spot for him, but they're going to be super logjammed at PG when he's back healthy when you have White, Pritchard and Lillard.
They'll probably slide White to SG I would imagine, start Dame, and keep Pritchard as 6th man. Plus they still have Simons, but not sure their time on the team will overlap much on-the-court.
