Glad to see you coming back, mainly curious if you have heard anything about extending Simons and us keeping him. That would really bum me out.

Glad neither of those possibilities' played out - Ayton and Simons both gone thank goodness

To be fair, Goldbum may have still been correct. Cronin moving/waiving Ayton wasn’t his call. Ayton’s agent requested a trade this summer, and Cronin always relents on moving players when they ask. Once there wasn’t a deal they liked and didn’t want to take salary back, that’s when they moved for the buyout instead.
