Any Sports Card collectors in the house?? I need help.
Hey, I need help & Im hoping one of my fellow Blazers fans can help.
Im trying to sell these 3 basketball cards ive had for awhile.
I use to collect cards long, long time ago. I want to sell these
3 as a package & was wondering if anyone knows any good
Sport Cards Stores that would probably buy these cards.. .
I thought I'd ask here first before I try & track a place down.
*Michael Jordan 1987 Fleer #59 of 132
*Shaquille O'Neal Magic's All-Rookie Team NBA HOOPS/SkyBox #1 of 10
*Clyde Drexler Star 84 #100 1983-84
Thanks!!

I don't really know much about sports cards, but you'd be able to get a much better price by selling directly to collectors rather than to a shop. The first place I'd look to sell anything like that is ebay. Watch auctions of those cards and see how much they end up selling for. Do a bit of research and you should be able to get a good price for them.

Worst day of my life was when I realized I had lost my Lew Alcindor rookie card.. That card was worth $1500
Keep good care of those worth something.. Its tough to find actual collectors but those are the people to go through.. Card stores wont give you nearly what its worth. But I would at least go talk to the guy that Charlie mentioned. He might be able to give you an idea on worth and maybe even an idea on where to sell them for top dollar

If the cards are in pretty good condition, you should consider getting them graded. If you get a good score, they will sell for way more than they would if they weren't graded. Most cards aren't worth very much, even rookie cards, unless you get them graded.
Also, like other people have said, don't sell them to any shops, but have a talk with one. I used to give my cards to a shop that I went to a lot and had the cards graded and sold on ebay for me, for a small percentage.

a buddy of mine sent his cards to some big collector to have them appraised / graded. Something like this place
http://www.psacard.com/
You can always take your cards to a few comic book / sports memorabilia stores around your area just get a LOW estimate on value. If you do end up selling your cards to a store shop around and don't take their initial offer, you can try to up them. Good luck dude... tax returns are coming soon your gonna be set haha.

If your wanting max value for these cards you need to send them to a grading company. PSA is a company you can use or another. PSA is one that I trust myself and have used for many years now. Now, you only want to pay for them to grade your card, if you truly believe it's a high number, so it goes up to 10, and you should be able to easily move these cards for a good value when they are graded.

Contrary to what HMFFL said, especially with the jordan, you want to be grading that whether it is in good condition or not. There are a lot of Jordan RC fakes around, and people will be reluctant to pay full value for the Jordan (which is by far the most valuable card of the three) without knowing it's legit, and the only way to do that is to get it graded by PSA or BGS.
