Brandon Roy walked out onto the TD Banknorth Garden floor last Wednesday morning and took in the sights. Later that night, he would play his first game on the parquet floor, as a Portland Trail Blazer, having missed last year's contest because of a heel injury. He's been with Portland for 1 1/2 years, but it might well have gone differently for him on the night of the 2006 draft. He could have been a Celtic.

"I remember Danny Ainge worked me out in Los Angeles, and I thought he really liked me and I knew I was probably going to go in that area," Roy said. "When they made the trade, I never gave it another thought. It would have been an honor to play for one of the greatest organizations in the league, but I'm happy where I am and what we're doing."

No kidding.

Soon to be one of the greatest organizations in the league. With Oden coming into the mix next year, they have to be a top 3 team in the west next season. Oden will fill every insuffiency this team has in the low post offensively and defensively and is destined for success here.

Roy was right when he said this will take pressure off of Oden. That will really be good for Oden's development, and if he has a tough first season, we can look at it as a stepping stone.

As if he is going to have a tough rookie season. It's Greg F*cking Oden. He will be jumping off one leg to the all-star game as well as the playoffs, book it.

Yea, you are probably (and hopefully) right about that. Oden should be a tough guy. But at least we wont need to run the whole offense through him.
