Hawks players post game comments about Roy...

Post#1 » by Spykes » Mon Jan 28, 2008 7:18 am

With how glowingly players and coaches talk about Brandon, you'd think he'd be a shoe-in for the ASG. Anyway, there were some interesting comments from the Hawks players after the game tonight...

Marvin Williams wrote:"That's the thing about Brandon," said Hawks forward Marvin Williams, who grew up playing with and against Roy in Seattle. "He does what he wants to do when he wants to do it. He's never in a hurry, he's always patient. He's always waiting for somebody else to mess up so he can take advantage of it right there. And that's why he's so effective.

"He's tough to guard and he's very unselfish. He's such a good passer. And that's why he's so tough to guard, and he will be for a long time in this league."

Josh Smith wrote:"He's become a superstar in the league and one of the top guards in the Western Conference," Smith said. "The only thing you can do with him is slow him down a little bit. But eventually he's going to get on a streak where he's making shots. And he did it late. We wish he'd have done it earlier."

Hawks players have great class.
Josh Smith is one of my favorite players and he deserves to be in the ASG for the east.

They all wish Roy was on their team instead of Sheldon...They even have a thread going on the Hawks board about it...

Even without Roy, the hawks look like a very good team in the east in a few years. The talent is definitely there.

One thing to keep in mind is Marvin is a Seattle kid and he know B.Roy better than most guys.

And most of us were pissed when we drafted Telfair over Jefferson and Smith. Telfair turned into Roy though so it all worked out. Maybe SW will help your team in the same way.
