The official word is that Nate wants to balance out the lineups with the loss of Jones.
Also, this is a lineup Nate talked about using before the season even started, so it's not like this is something that just popped up because they want to showcase a player.
Anythings possible I suppose, but I wouldn't read much into it.

perhaps even bigger news from quick is that Nate is thinking of playing Pryzbilla more in the 4th. I know a lot of you will applaud that. The mildy surprising part is that LMA is the candidate for being benched.
Maybe it's not surprising how poorly LMA has been playing, and how little he has been contributing down the stretch.
Quick's prediction of him being a "10-time allstar" seems a bit overstated at this point I think

I think we all overrated LA coming into this season but he definitely has room for improvement. He obviously won't make 10 ASG's especially with Roy and LA on this team but could still be pretty darned good. Also, it's looking like my very early projection that Roy and Oden would be Portland's main combo may turn out to be correct. Roy's the clear leader on this team and I think with they way he plays in crunch time, he can't be anything less than one of our top two players (oden being the other one hopefully).

Don't look confidence on LMA so quickly guys. They gave him the ball early and he delivered. Once he gets bigger he'll start rebounding the ball a lot better.

I haven't lost confidence in him at all. He's putting up better numbers for scoring and rebounding in his 2nd year then Rasheed wallace did in his 5th year.
I think he does need to work on his game and learn to get better position down low.
He's still only 22, and if his work ethic is as reported, I'd guess he will improve a lot in the next 3 years.
He's just in a bit of a slump lately. But it's not a bad idea to bench him when he's playing poorly.

I think hes doing good enough
and he will get even better!!
LMA plays within himself, which is great.
+1
There is nothing to worry about with LA. It is a long season and there will be highs and lows. Now just happens to be one of the lows.
Glad to see that Nate moved Martell to the second unit. Would love to see Jones with the starting unit when he gets back, but like Webster against lesser competition. Hopefully he continues to do other things besides wait for open 3's.
Do not think Jack is being showcased on purpose, but it is nice that he is getting another chance as a starter.

I think it worked but uggh I absolutely HATE having a blake/jack/roy lineup cause really short
and I hate small ball. Anyways gettin off topic but anyone that has doubts with aldridge don't jump the bandwagon, others were doing so with roy and he proved us wrong. Also in the article posted medina the trainer says aldridge is pretty much a rookie when it comes to conditioning so he is just worn out. PLZ someone make me an avy with the stare down/bish! at the end

I'm sure there is something to that, but his perimeter-oriented game (relative to other 7' players) was there from the beginning.

RE: Webster; Webster has been improving by leaps and bounds this season, and it may not show as much on the stat sheet. The most noticeable difference is when he starts missing 3's, he starts attacking the basket which more often than not, translates into free throws.
I know he is far from ready to start, but he's learning and I'll take any improvement by him at this point.
