They won't trade an Allstar for a rookie that's 3rd on the depth chart, and possibly the worst center in the league either.

I honestly think Miles will still be able to play at a decent level some day, although, hopefully its not for the Blazers.

I think its not all that unrealistic, but the pot would definitely have to be sweetened for Memphis to consider it. Might cost us our 1st and/or our 2nds and maybe somebody like McRoberts. Memphis' main motivation for making that deal was the fact that Brown is an expiring contract. They arent gonna make that deal just to take on more salary for a player who may or may not still be a solid NBA player just to help us get a nice free agent in 09.

Really?

Memphis trades Gasol for an expiring contract, only to take on Miles?

Their owner said the major motivation in getting rid of Gasol was shedding salary for the new owner. There is no way this trade goes thru.

Right now, Memphis looks like they will be 12-15 million under the salary cap this summer ( maybe a bit more depending on damon's buyout), and if they don't make any major additions this summer, they may be 15 million or more under the cap in 2009. Kwame is essential to that...they won't be trading him.

edit: sheeesh...I saw you took this "deal" to the trade board. You need to turn in your blazer merit badge for that maneuver

Wow, that's a ridiculous proposal unless you were going for comedy's sake. As CF said, no way the Grizzlies would go for Miles after dumping Gasol. I truly feel sorry for you for posting this on the trade board.

I think it's unanimous--never, ever going to happen.
