In his pathetic excuse for a basketball blog, Simmons mentions the Blazers tried to trade for Kidd, but Kidd didn't want to play in Portland. He brings up a good point in that they might not even make the playoffs this year, which would be great for them since they would have a shot at drafting Kevin Love. He'd be the perfect fit for that team. They sign re-sign Diop this summer and they have a chance when Kidd is in his contract year.
