Yes, but Pritchard has to decide if it is an upgrade worth making at the cost of an all-star FA in 2009.

Edit: Pritchard may prefer Kidd over Harris because Kidd's contract expires at the right time.

Thats a good point about Kidds contract.

Also, a All-Star FA?? Who did you have in mind??

Well, Marcus Williams has 12 assists with 8 minutes left in the 4th quarter, and it doesn't look like Harris has played at all?

Ankle sprains can do that to ya.

Exactly.

Harris hasn't played because he's been injured for a few weeks now. After the Kidd trade was finalized, there was a report saying that Harris wouldn't have his Net debut for at least another 2 weeks.

I don't know who the target is going to be. There will be all-star level players that will be FA's that year. Look in the 2009 FA plan thread.

Surge and Spykes, I get that. My point is that if Williams shows he can be good enough, and they could upgrade other positions, maybe they'd be more willing to talk about Harris?

I suppose it's possible. Williams is still on his rookie deal while Harris is just starting a big new contract... But I still don't see them picking Williams over Harris. They were reportedly seriously shopping Williams this season before and during the Kidd trade, I don't know if a few good games before the season ends is enough to have them make Harris expendable.

Spykes, you're probably right. At best, the Nets will probably keep Williams as their 2nd PG, or if they do trade a PG, it would probably be Williams.

Thanks for raining on my dillusions...

LOL. I do what I can. :P

Believe me, I'd love to see the Nets trade us Harris as much as you, but I just can't really imagine it happening.
