And whereas Klinky doesn't like the "quasi-science" bent to The Constant episode, I absolutely loved it. I'm a big fan of the Daniel Faraday character because he's actually brought some tangible (albeit heavily sci-fi) answers to whats going on with the Island. Also, the characters last name, Faraday, actually has quite a bit of importances. Check out the Trivia section on this Wikipedia page to see what I mean...

I like the Daniel Faraday character too, but I think my problem is that it was implied that the answers to the island could be found with realistic science, not sci-fi. Puffs of smoke, time travel & spiritual ghosts does not really lend to science but more to sci-fi/paranormal phenomena. Also at the beginning of the show it sounded like there was a dinosaur romping around on the island, but it turned into a puff of smoke - which makes a clinking sound...
