Considering the following what would you rather do?
1.) Right now we have a four gaurd rotation.
Blake/Jack/Sergio
Roy/Jack
2.) Rudy Fernandez refuses to come over if he does not have available playing time. Including Sergio he will only have minutes available in the 4 gaurd rotation.
3.) Portland is drafting at #13 in the lottery.
4.) Jack will be traded for someting.
5.) If Portland drafts a point gaurd or shooting gaurd at #13 thats more players Rudy needs to contest for minutes against. That puts him back into a 5 gaurd rotation.
I ask this because I believe for Rudy to come over we will have to trade Jack AND either trade our pick or draft a player other then a point gaurd/shooting gaurd.
What would you do?

I went with option one, although I wouldn't worry about position. It's still about best player available. If a guy like Mayo falls to Portland I think you take him regardless of Rudy. Portland is in yet another great position as BPA will most likely fill a big need too (PG/SG or SF) with the way the draft is shaping up. If a guy that fits that criteria falls to Portland I'd hate for them to draft a C or a PF just because they have Rudy coming in.
I don't really see a 5 guard rotation if Portland drafts a PG/SG and Rudy comes over. I see Jack as gone, and Sergio either traded or moved to the end of the bench for now. Blake/Roy/Rudy/Pick will obviously be tough enough to make everyone happy, but I think Portland can run 3 guards at a time for stretches, and I don't think anyone would complain if Portland could get by 10-15 games a season where Roy plays less than 30 minutes.
