I always thought it was that a team could require a player to play if they had only been in the league 3 years or less, and that a player can play in it if they so choose from then on.

The rule is more complex than that. First, the three year rule is for the NBADL, not the summer league. The summer league requirements are that no team may have more than four veterans on the team, with exceptions made for players who missed more than 25 games due to injury or who played in the NBADL in the previous season or who was without a contract the previous year with an NBA team. Antonio Harvey was able to appear for us in the 1999 Summer League.

Well, it appears that McBob is going to be our main man in summer league this year. Check it out on the Oregonian.

That would mean that Sergio will mostly bring the ball up the court...
