Rudy is not untouchable but I wonder how he would take it if Sergio were traded?

I do agree with Mojo however in that eventually someone will have to go unless we
end up like a $150 Million payroll. That guy might be LA for it might come down to
who fits better with Oden at PF.

The short answer is yes. He's now part of the Big 3 + 2 (Rudy and Batum).
Prz and Outlaw are doing their jobs. Bayless will find his way. Sergio is looking better.
That's 8 players.

Frye + Blake + Diogu + Raef and/or caproom ... ?

If I was going to trade rudy (don't want to) other then Lebron at Sf I would only trade him for a pg. We really don't need a star sf, webster batum and outlaw can handle the position, so unless we get a crazy upgrade at pg I'd rather have rudy coming off the bench presenting TONS of advantages in our favor.

It's quite obvious Rudy has a ton of potential, but there are 3 big questionmarks:

1. How good is he going to become?

2. Will he fit alongside the other players on this team?

3. If not, is he the guy to trade, or he he the guy you make room for by trading someone else?

Until we know what he's capable of and whether or not that fits with the rest of the team, you don't trade a guy with his potential unless you get 'an offer you can't refuse'; a guy with as much talent/potential as Rudy's highest ceilling that you know/think will fit the rest of this team better.

That's why in theory I don't believe any player should be untouchable, just more likely to be traded than another. If for these (or different) reasons it's highly unlikely you'd want to trade a certain player, it could be smart to label him 'untouchable' for the public; just to bring more peace to the players group and fans.

That said, I think Rudy is barely touchable at this time, both literally and figuratively..

I am not familiar enough with Thad Young, or Speights to make any call on that one, but I would agree with the rest of your post but specifically the first part of this quote. I would trade him for Parker, Harris, and probably even his fellow Spaniard Calderon. All of those guys fill our need better then Rudy does, and are all starting quality PG's that are better players, or in Parker's case a vastly superior player.

First off all I'm not sure that Parker would fit Roy better then Rudy. Although he is a PG his still is too simmilar to Roy- he likes to dribble and pennetrate, and good with the ball, but Roy passes better. I cannot see one thing it which he is better then Roy exept expience. IMO he is not even the brain of the Spurs, but it mostly Ginobilly and Dunken.
The way Roy played last two-three games made me belive that he is able to became better PG with expirience, considering the fuct that he is not used to play full time PG. The only problem I see about him is that sometimes he trys too much to be a leader and do everything by himself, instead of trusting his teamates.

About Calderon- I like him and I saw a lot of Toronto at last two years, mostlly because of Antony Parker and him. Maybe he suit better to play with Roy, but no way he is better then Rudy. We all saw them playing in the same team last summer... Also need to remind you that he was a star at Europe as well, even for more years, but not at the level of Rudy (Calderon played at better team but didn't have such an inpact, but overoll obviouslly Rudy was bigger star), and he came to NBA 4 seasons ago at more mature age then Rudy. Look how many years it took for him to get his status of a first PG. At first tow year he was even a failier (and I don't blame him. I blame his coatches and his team's style).

DmoneyH3 wrote:Rudy for Harris..c'mon people, Harris is not worth Rudy. Would you deal a hybrid Rip Hamilton/Manu Ginobli for Harris? Hell No!
He is a nice point guard, but not bear top 5 in the league.

As of right now, Harris has the 3rd highest PER rating among PGs (Parker is #1 and Paul #2). PER is mostly an offensive measure, so when you combine it with Harris' defense, which is considered to be among the best in the league and i think you have a very good PG.

I like Rudy a lot and think he could be an All-Star on a team where he got to start. But Harris is much better fit with Portland.

Just a quick question:

Why has the video clip of Fernandez Vs Morrow been removed from YouTube?

It supposedly shows a blown foul call by the refs.

Do you think the NBA had it removed?

I was also looking for some reffs mix from this game there and have found nothing. Probablly the answer is YES.

I hope some investigation is going about this thing. I just glad it wasn't a playoff game, otherwise I would be very very angry.
Last time when I was thinking the same thing about a judgment at a game it was the 3rd game between the Suns and the Spurs. Some month latter when I was talled by a friend that some referee acused on gambling I imidiatlly told him friend that it probably refferee from that game... and latere when the ditails were revealed it was that...

To me, he's the wild card that can win playoff games single handedly, so yes he is untouchable.
