Bring back LA?
I'd be on board with signing him for the vet minimum or our exception. This team could use some size, especially with Nurk and Zeller being injury prone.

Re: Bring back LA?
If he chose ring chasing over signing with Portland last time, I don't see how Cody Zeller, Ben McLemore, and Tony Snell convince him to sign with Portland this time.
Because love can burn like a cigarette.
And leave you left with nothing.
Leave you left with nothing.
And leave you left with nothing.
Leave you left with nothing.

I think his role on the team was also part of the problem, and with Melo gone, we have more space for him. I think he gives us more consideration for that reason alone. But I could see him going back to the Nets as well, or even joining one of the LA teams.

As much as I wanted LA back in Portland, he's not coming back to play anywhere but to a playoff
contender. I'd like to see him play for the GSW.

Yes, Yes, one-hundred times Yes. Agree that Nurkic/LA would be perfect, but I don't think he'll think his chances at that ring are very good with the Blazers, at least as they're currently constructed.
And No Oden2, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised.

I always support free agents going where they want to and to a team who wants them. Where a player gets a role they like. Dollars they like. City and living conditions. Whatever it is that fits them and they fit.
HOWEVER.
Aldridge said he would like to play again with Lillard before he retired ... and chose the Nets.
Then he retired.
He got medically approved and is comfortable with the medical risks.
And chose the Nets.
Schmuck.

Re: Bring back LA?
Yeah, LMA was in a perfect position after getting medically approved to come to Portland as a Vet min. I bet we even give him solid minutes off the bench, and he might even start a game on occasion depending on injuries.
Screw the dude he says one thing and does another all the time, talked about being the best Blazer ever then bolted to San Antonio months later.
It's pretty obvious he only has one thing on his mind at this point getting a championship ring anyway he can. Dude might punch an old lady in the face if it gave him a 50% higher chance of winning the whole thing before he retires.
