16 years since...

...the Blazers last finished behind Minnesota in the standings. The streak looks like it will come to an end this season. It's fun to remember all the times we were told the Timberwolves had an enviable core of young talent and would be vaulting ahead of the Blazers in no time. Love and Rubio couldn't do it. Nor Wiggins and LaVine. Adding Jimmy Butler got them close to overtaking Portland, but not quite. Looks like Towns (in year 7) and Edwards are finally the ones. With Edwards ascending and Towns still young enough to remain in prime for several more years, they could be an obstacle for a Blazers team looking to rebound.

That 16 game win streak against the Lakers from April 2014 to November 2018 was arguably greater. A streak that was only broken due to the Lakers acquiring one of the greatest players of all-time.

And leave you left with nothing.
