I just realized we're four days away. We better get a good trade so it doesn't ruin the RETURN OF COMMUNITY.

Nothing can ruin the return of Community. Well, nothing but NBC if they decide to pull it for another 4 months again....

Re: Rumors, "Shorts" and other chatter
Foye would be ending and Beldsoe is a young, inexpensive piece which is what the Blazers are looking for if it's not a blockbuster. Otherwise, they are trying to get draft picks.

But there was a little bit of confusion with that as I found some conflicting reports from when the trade was made, so I don't know for sure.
The clips traded their 2012 pick to OKC, for Bledsoe, I believe. OKC sent it to Boston for Perkins. So Boston currently has LAC 2012 pick.

Ah, that explains why I can't find where their own pick went. Thanks!

I'm aggressively trying to watch all of the episodes on Hulu to be ready to go when it comes back. I still have like 15 episodes to go.

draftexpress has a pretty good sheet with all of the pick transactions on it.

We traded a 2013 2nd round pick to Denver in the Felton trade.... Ugh. Well that was a waste.

LOL, lets have a bidding war for Jamal!
this is a deal that goes in the exact opposite direction of what Buchanan explicitly said was the Blazer thinking
my guess is that most leaks and rumors are a long way from the truth. Portland may be trying to work out 3-team deals and we're hearing just parts of proposals. Or it could just be BS

Im pretty sure the Clippers pick is going to the Celtics this year from previous trades. It is lottery protected but since Clippers will for one of the few times in their franchise history will likely make the playoffs its going to the Celtics. They did send the unprotected minny pick to NO in the CP3 trade. So they can only offer a future 1st round pick I believe which would be like 2014 since they cant trade their 2013 pick because of some rule of having to have a 1st rounder within the next 2 drafts.

Chad Buchanan explicitly said they weren't going to make moves to sacrifice long term for the short term(Batum for Nash would be a good example of this). This is not the opposite of that.

Cucad8...yes but Gomes would go against the cap flex he talked about for this summer. Bledsoe would fit as a young player under a rookie contract. So it's half and half.

Re: Rumors, "Shorts" and other chatter
true, if you know for sure Crawford is opting out. Seems very likely, but still, it is no guarantee.
Also, Gomes can be waived and, at 4 million for one season, could be stretched to be 4 million through 3 seasons, or 1.3 a year. Any new contract he signs would offset that amount that we owe.
I'm not a fan of the deal personally. I don't care to take on the salary also, and while I don't mind Bledsoe, I also like Nolan a lot. Just saying.

good pt on Nolan, screw this crap of getting a "questionable" PG, why not just give Nolan a run of 10 games starting and see what he's got, in fact I'd even give Ewill some burn at PG, what have we got to lose?

Re: Rumors, "Shorts" and other chatter
Luke Babbitt and Nolan Smith fit as young players under rookie deals, but that doesn't mean the Blazers should trade for players like that, and that's about the talent level that I assign to Bledsoe
obviously, the Blazers could have a different evaluation...they are the ones that drafted Babbitt and Smith after all

we have got give these guys a "real" chance, with Nate all they ever get is spot or a few garbage time minutes. I mean if there was ever a season and time to do that it's NOW IMO, now the problem with that may be Nate himself, but we should do that and of course Ewill too.

Help us all!
Nothing will inspire confidence like the Blazer's evaluation protocol.

are you sure that the stretch amnesty provision can be applied to contracts a team trades for? Seems like I read that it couldn't but maybe that was the regular amnesty rule

Re: Rumors, "Shorts" and other chatter
I think Ken Berger has no clue about what the Blazers are asking for and that all his sources, if that's what he's basing things on, are from other teams
he has the Blazers trading Crawford for Bledsoe and Gomes, and Felton for Blake + filler
that's an indication that eithe Berger knows nothing or the Blazers have gone insane
