All I know is that we aren't exactly trying to be really good this season. So start Lillard, and Leonard from day 1 and lets go

Yea but I think they are pretty much the same if you look at the # shooting wise with Curry slightly better but Lillard more efficient. Numbers first year to last excluding Lillard's injured year

Basically both 40 50 90 guys.

Curry
FG% 46.3 48.3 45.4 3pt% 40.8 43.9 38.7 FT% 85.5 89.4 87.6 FGA 15.4 18.2 20.2 PPG 21.5 25.9 28.6

Lillard
FG% 43.4 43.1 46.7 3pt% 37.4 39.3 40.9 FT% 84.1 85.3 88.7 FGA 8.8 13.8 15.5 PPG 11.5 19.9 24.5

They comparable, but Curry was shooting much higher volumes.

Yea Lillard scored 24.5 on 15.5 shots Curry scored 25.8 on 18.2 shots and Lillard got to the line and scored in a variety of ways screens, PnR, Isolation, spot up, fouls etc. He had the 2nd highest PER in the draft.

I didn't ask for a rating. When Lillard and Leonard are the second and third best players from this draft I hope you give credit where credit is due. Until you do extensive scouting of players let the pros handle it.

Consider this a warning - joke troll/baiting accounts are not welcomed. Straighten up or you'll get gone.

OK Olshey--this is a discussion board. That means people can express their opinions, no matter how non-professional you think they are.

Thought it was brain-fart too?! This time i went a step further to not embarrass myself like confusing redundant with abundant (which i still maintain, WAS a brain-fag)

Not sure where his opinion was expressed. Wasn't attempting to be humorous and then I received a rating? That's a great welcome to the board.

Perhaps should've started with a simple, yet amiable "Hi" in introductory post?

Suggesting people leave the evaluation to the professionals is IMO an attempt to short-circuit legitimate areas for discussion. That's not what this board is about. We're happy to welcome anyone, but that doesn't mean we're going to welcome attempts to stifle the conversation.

I think 5 years now when we look back on this draft, Will Barton will be the best player that we drafted. He's going to be a solid 6th man/fringe starter at SG/SF. I'm surprised he wasn't drafted earlier.

Understood. Would never have attempted to short circuit the discussion if the discussion wasn't already short circuited by a rating. I apologize. Hi, long time reader. Been around since, I want to say 2002?...I doubt I will post much due to fear of receiving responses like I already received haha just kidding. The sky is falling. Hopefully I can be a valuable contributor.

I more meant in the context of me doubting Lillard, I would love to be proven wrong about that.

Longterm GF though, and she keeps my ego in check well enough.

You already have more sense than a handful of members on here for being a new member.. Everyone wants to criticize the picks we made like they know better than the guys who interviewed and worked out these guys.. Instead of walking up the shoulder of the 405 to the Fremont bridge, they should have a little faith in our front office and support the picks they made and support this franchise. I remember when people were upset on here that we traded the rights to Foye and Tyrus Thomas or that they signed the "draft the stache" petition for no reason.. We have two awesome selections and I'm getting antsy to watch them in summer league.
