Suck? Yea, you should watch James Jones' "spectacular" play of the game at the final buzzer. What a great role model.

Your team was the better one tonight, but all you seem to want to do is bitch about James Jones. Perhaps, he was frustrated, but so what. And it is usually customary for a player to dribble the ball until the clock reaches zero. It wasn't exactly a class move by T-Mac to put the ball down with several seconds left in the game.

Stole the ball. Dribbled it up for the easy shot at the end of the game.

Not quite sure how that was so classless by Jones. The team thats losing never gives up. Big deal. Its not like we were the winning team and were trying to shove it down your throat

Anyways. Good game Houston. They deserved it... We played like absolute garbage. Roy needs to wake the hell up and start taking control of the 4th quarters because the last 4 games he has disappeared. He lets Jack or Blake handle the whole thing up top and he goes over into a corner half the time. Sergio looks like garbage other than his 1 in 15 good games. Nobody could hit the broadside of a barn. LMA needs to wake up down low on defense. BOX OUT! Its really pathetic. Roy was the only one who shot over 50% and only scored 2 points after the first like 4 minutes of the 3rd quarter. Sorry, that was just the worst game that Ive been to since the 05 season.

As a Rockets fan offering my thoughts, I thought Portland played very well defensively tonight. The thing is, Portland seems to play a ton of zone, which makes it difficult to put a body on everyone and box out for defensive rebounds, and we have a bunch of really good offensive rebounders on our team who took advantage.

That is, at least in part, why most NBA teams don't play a lot of zone. But it definitely held us to a lower scoring game so...maybe it works for you.

Anyways, good game.

14 ticks left in the game, Rockets' ball. Tmac basically wanted
to stop taking on the Blazers. That's good basketball courtesy
as well as the respect for Portland team. He rest the ball on the
floor with 5 ticks left.

Guess what, James Jone went up, picked up the ball, and took it
to the other end of the court to score at the final buzzer. That's was
just garbage manner.

Was it necessary?

Quit whining. Tmac should have just held onto the ball until the clock ran out. Setting the ball on the floor is asking for the other team to pick it up and doing something like that.

ROFL, blame T-Mac. He holds on to the ball rather than putting it on the floor and Jones doesn't take it in. Who the hell cares anyway, it's not like Portland was up, there doesn't need to be any "courtesy" if you're losing. Get over it.

Rather than calling people trolls how about leaving the moderating to Spykes, Billy, Voice and myself. Thanks!

We missed a lot of shots.

And then we lost.

Thanks, Magritte.

I was going to read a game recap, but you just saved me 5 minutes. (Nice avatar, btw. The original is at the Menil Collection, 5 blocks from my house in Houston.)

Speaking as a long time RealGM member and 30+ year Rocket fan, I hereby grant anyone on any board permission to invent a device that allows you to reach through your computer monitor and punch Dunlaevyjr in the face.

He's not a Houston fan. He's just a......well....he's not a Houston fan. I'll just leave it at that.

The Blazers have relied on the Zone recently and it has payed of for the most part. Our zone was effective in slowing down Yao but the Blazers had no answers for Houston's role players (which is often the case for the Blazers). The Blazers were simply outplayed on both ends of the floor which ultimately gave Houston the lead. There's no excuse to allow the opposing team to go on a 14-1 run to begin the second half (and it should have been worse) and if they continue to create deficits, they can't win every game in the 4th quarter. The Blazers need to work on things and hopefully they can get their act together pretty soon. Granted, it's amazing that they are where they are right now but overachieving or not, this team definitely could make improvements.

Predictable offense, no suprise every team has played seemingly Spurs-like defense on us the last 6 or so games. Pitiful. Aldridge nonexistant again. God, we need a banger.

What a sloppy game on both sides...just bad (including the refs [both sides of the ball, not whining])

Either team could have won this game by 30 had they gotten their act together in the 2nd half.
Thank you for all the memories BRoy. You were a class act and brought hope to an entire region for 5 years. You will be missed.

dunleavyjr is not from our board guys , he usually come after bad games to bash our team and players.
Your team is awesome , really fun to watch , , the other teams are lucky you are so good so early because if you had a bad record and you would get another earlly lottery pick , it could have been unfair in the future.

Man, I'm shocked that people thought what Jones did at the end of the game was rude. I thought it was absolutely fantastic. I love seeing that never give up attitude. It's just like Channing goaltending every shot after the whistle blows. Yeah it doesn't matter, but it's a mental thing, saying you're not gonna get anything easy against us. If anything it was rude for Tmac to lay the ball on the ground. Oh well, I hope I'm not in the minority on this one, cause I really admire that attitude.

I have to agree with the person who said it wasn't any less classy than McGrady just putting the ball down and probably more. Still, getting upset about the class shown in the last three seconds of a game while all the players were shaking hands and congratulating each other (which I thought was kind of nice--you don't usually see that when there are two games remaining in a season series like that) is making mountains out of molehills.

As far as the game, the Rockets clearly had the fresher legs and I think that made all the difference. The game would have been very even if we hadn't front-rimmed every shot in the second half seemingly. There were occasions where the Rockets' defense really affected us, but when we made good plays and got open looks it was clear we just didn't have it in us to make a good game out of it.

I'm really glad we have a couple games left this season because I think we're two teams that, despite having almost completely different offensive philosophies, match up extremely well against each other.
