per twitter and other reports I've seen is that is "shot is broken", Top 10? I doubt it, but broken shots can be fixed like Rondo, wasn't Rondo a 2nd rdr?

Would it be that crazy to draft Lillard at #6 and then Marshall at #11. PG problem solved for years. Obviously let felton disappoint another team, package Nolan in some kind of deal later. Address SG/C through free agency with cap space (hopefully quick) sign JJ, match offer on Batum.
Lillard/Marshall
FA/Matthews/Williams
Batum/Babbit
Aldridge/Hickson

Yeah I watched the Combine for about an hour this morning when the PGs were doing drills, and they did a 3 point contest (basically). You had 60 seconds to makes as many as you could. You start in the corner, and after you make 5, you move over to the FT line extended area, then above the key, etc... Well in 60 seconds, Wroten made ONE shot. Just one. He was stuck in the corner for 60 seconds, tossing up garbage.

that's a "project" and no way he goes top 10, I'm thinking the 20's somewhere

Rondo was the 21st pick I believe, in 2006.

I just don't see how we could pass on Drummond if he dropped to us. I'm not convinced that he'll ever be any better than DeAndre Jordan but the potential that he could be coupled with his size and athleticism may make it impossible to let him go.

Re: The 2012 NBA Draft: 6th & 11th picks, and some random 2n
I think it's sad that people are so determined to fix our PG position that they are putting all of their eggs into the Lillard/Marshall basket. Haven't we learned our lesson yet? We must draft the BPA no matter what. If we have to wait a year or two to fix our PG position or go with a free agent then so be it. It's not like there's a "can't miss" point like D-Rose or something in the draft. Drafting by position rarely works out. Also, waiting for point guards to develop sucks. It's one of the hardest positions to master. Let's just sign Dragic or trade for a point guard and draft a guy who can create and hit shots like Beal, Lamb etc.
The NBA, where 5 on 8 happens.

Did anyone say Marshall, Matthews, Batum, Aldridge was winning us a title? Why do you continue to make up what others say and argue against it, call others idiots for it?
I didn't make it up, Did he not advocate taking Marshall at #11, um I think he did........and I didn't call him an idiot, but I did question him on whether or not he thought a team built around a core with Marshall\LA\Matthews and Batum was good enough to beat teams like OKC\MIA etc....If you are taking Marshall at #11 then you are passing up on players with bigger upsides to fill a need, that is not how great teams are built....
.Oh and that 11th pick HAS to be spent on upgrading the SG position then? You cant get a solid pickup at PG with the 11th pick, and worry about SG with the 6th pick, or through FA/Trades? Its amazing how people think there is some savior that's going to be available at 11. Sorry, Rivers isnt Kobe
and Marshall isn't Miller or Kidd, no matter how much some of you fantasize him to be....He doesn't even remotely have the offensive skillset of MIller, not even close....That comparison is based on relative size, mediocre athleticism, lack of outside shooting and good passing. What makes Miller so darn effective in the NBA is his ability to get into the paint and score or post up other players...I don't see Marshall able to do that....and as I have stated before, it doesn't matter how good of a passer he is if the guys he passe it to cannot consistently score, and last time I checked one of the biggest issues with Batum and Matthews was there offensive inconsistency...so now you have added ANOTHER player with similar issues...great, 3 guys who struggle to score\create offense for themselves and are inconsistent at best...So when LA is double teamed or inexpicably doesn't want to shoot when the game is on the line you'll get results similar to last year....So not only did you go need over BPA but you chose a bad fit relative to what this roster has going forward...
If POR takes Marshall it means that they have FAILED to observe\learn from this last year....This team needs players who can and WANT to take that shot when it matters and can do it consistently....
and #11 doesn't have to be spent on ANY specific position, I never said that....what it NEEDS to be spent on is the BPA...and Marshall is not it...not at #11 and certainly not at #6...

The Sebastian Express wrote:We can definitely play LaMarcus at the five and get away with it too, he plays his best ball at the five. It'd just be a matter if his body could handle it; I personally think it could (even though I am not LaMarcus.. yet.. ... ...) because there's a real lack of traditional BIG men left in the NBA in terms of size and weight. Howard, Bynum, little Gasol, some of the shorter late round guys who come in each year with just the width.
If TRob drops to 6 for some reason, I'd have no problem picking him and playing him and Aldridge together.

If thats the case, and Drummond is available at 6, I would like to see them trade the 11th and some sort of small filler (2 2nds, Nolan, or Babbitt) to Toronto for the 8th. Let Toronto grab Waiters at a little lesser price, and get some sort of assetts as well, while we move up to 8 and grab Lillard

Getting Drummond and Lillard in this draft has the potential to be on par with getting Aldridge and Roy in 06 imo. That would be my dream get to come out of this draft with. However I firmly believe that Lillard has/will play his way into the Top 10, and while I think Drummond slips a bit, I don't think he gets out of the Top 10, so yeah, the Blazers should definitely consider moving their #11 pick up some.
