And they gave up 27 points to tyus jones who i’m assuming he was guarding?

This, to me, along with many games of this at portland where cj gave up major points to random mediocre guards gives credence to the fact that hart isn’t necessarily “without a doubt worse” than cj. Yeah maybe cj’s talent edge is higher, but the total package shows there isn’t huge disparity because cj was a constant defensive liability which negated a lot of what he did offensively

the Blazers were 1.3M over the line and their tax bill was going to be 2M. Obviously, the bigger worry was the repeater tax, but I really question if the Blazers will go over the line much in the future

anyway, Portland only had to shed 1.3M in salary, not 10M

Yup and i think anyone would’ve taken cov for free especially on his expiring. Heck even a cov for a guy making 3 mil less would’ve been just fine, didn’t have to give away norm for free

CJ is really getting to show his playmaking skills in NO. Always thought he was underrated at PG and his passing. Showed flashes when Dame would be out but dame was so injury free for most of his career that he rarely got to show it in Portland.

But also quite happy for another Pel loss. They need another win soon tho, don’t want them to get tooooo bad.

It’d be really hard for them to top the level of bad of the top 4

Could be top 6 or 7 and move up into the Top 4…. That’s my worry more than landing in Top 4 by their record, cause yeah, that’s not realistic. One team in that 5-8 range always seems to jump in the lottery.

This is where I hope the blazers land, but not sure they will at this rate…
