Except Wagner played against better teams in college...

Only 3 players blazers should consider at #6
Drummond
Beal
Leonard

trade the pick otherwise. No need to take robinson if bird rights to hickson are retained.

I like leonard but IMO he's a reach at #6 as Lillard may be as well. BPA, keep is simple

He might be. But the gamble is too great to expect him to be there at #11.

With his profile, blazers should take the risk if the two aforementioned are not there.

I will reiterate my question of a little while ago: "is Lillard so attractive because he is the shiny penny in a very dull pond"?

BTW I do not have the answer, just think it's an important Q to ask fso we keep our perspective

Was debating around Leonard in the latest post.

How come you double-post regularly?

I do think part of what makes Lillard look attractive is there is a lack of point guards, as well as guards who can shoot at a high level, in this draft. It might be a mistake to take him at 6 (although I would rather Barnes not be BPA when we pick), but it might not be a mistake to move up to snag him.

Still, do people think the Hornets would take Lillard over Marshall? Lillard/Gordon is not an ideal back-court, and Marshall would be able to get a lot out of Gordon/Davis/Okafor. If I was the Hornets, style-wise I might prefer Marshall to set up our other options.

I suppose the Raptors might like Lillard too, but they seem to be focused on different positions. There is a chance Lillard slips to 11 if Raptors select a wing and Hornets go with Marshall.

Also, the Kings saying Drummond would be a seamless fit with Cousins seems a bit presumptuous. From a basketball standpoint I just don't agree. Could it be a little bit of smoke because they know the Blazers would pick Drummond with zero hesitation - maybe they want to entice a pick swap while still getting MKG or Barnes at 7?

Drummond is not passing Sacramento.

We seriously need to get pass the Drummond to Portland possibilities because it's a VERY good chance it's not happening unless we move up.

Just never like to get my hopes up.

Leonard is a bust...

5 fouls and a screen....that is all he will be able to provide.....

Just b\c a guy LOOKS the part doesn't mean he can play it in the NBA.....

Here are a couple of high...low lights that maybe you ought to check into before advocating POR waste a pick on him.....

lacks confidence
mechanical moves
lacks great footwork
goes over top of defenders in college (good luck with that in the NBA)
No real post game (1 move)
no real mid range game (1att/game - shaky release)
mental lapses on defense, gives up post position to easy, struggles bodying up and holding ground
3 PF\game in college..
struggling post defender in strength and fundamentals
turns ball over a lot for a post defender

Ugh...Why waste a lottery pick on a guy like that when you could get a guy like O'Quinn in the late 1st or Melo, or Sims\Sacre\Watt in the 2nd...any of whom may be able to provide you as much or more than he can....

BAD pick...

Florida's G Bradley Beal -- a top 10 pick -- won't workout w/ #Blazers, concentrating on teams at top of draft.

I think we should forget Beal in Blazers jersey.
Wesley Matthews just came by the scores table and said, "I ain't f***king losing no more."

Looks like he might have a promise from someone...my guess is Washington. Wall/Beal would be a nice young backcourt for them.

Beal could EASILY go 2-4

2. Charlotte - Probably not the best choice at #2 and already have Hendo, but might not feel he's their future SG
3. Washington - As stated, Wall/Beal would be a great young backcourt.
4. Cleveland - Need desperate help on their wings. An automatic pick maybe unless MKG falls instead.

I don't realistically see either Beal or Drummond in a Blazer uniform unless a trade up is made.

Cleveland and Portland have talked about swapping draft picks, according to source. Cavs would get #6 and #11, Blazers would get #4 and #24.

I think about 30 teams have talked to about 29 teams about draft pick trades.

as far as that trade, it's hard for me to think that jumping up 2 slots is worth the 11th pick. But I don't know who the Blazers are interested in

If we make this move I'm hoping its not for Drummond. I think the top four of AD, MKG, Beal, Barnes and Robinson are the clear cut top 5 and if we could nab one of those guys and we think Drummond will be all that's available at number 6, then this is a move that makes some sense considering that those 5 are better in my book than anyone below that point. If somebody takes Drummond ahead of us I'm not so sure I make this move.

#6 + #11 > #4 + #24

Unless they're taking Shawne Williams + other, I don't like the idea of it.
