The dropoff from 11 to 24 is much greater than the dropoff from 4 to 6. If we move up, it had better turn out to be an all-star or the Blazers have egg on their face.

I think it's drummond, tons of BS will be floating around until the draft, but IMO if we move up we are going after Drummond, and I think I agree

I'd be down with that trade only if it got us Robinson, but it wont. Alas.

We seriously need to get pass the Drummond to Portland possibilities because it's a VERY good chance it's not happening unless we move up.

Just never like to get my hopes up.

hence the Por and Cle rumors. lol

I like Robinson but IMO he does not have game/team changer ability AND LMA does really not want to play C and I agree with that. I think Drummond has game/team changer ability and at worst will be a defensive stud in the leagoe for 10-15 years

Funny that the trade rumors with the cavs surfaced right after news came out about the kings liking drummond with the 5th pick

Yeah there's so much crap out there going in I'm sure sent out by GMs and agents.

I'd still go for a varajao and Matthews swap, along with the picks. Draft Beal. draft Melo.

Varajao / Melo
Aldridge / Hickson
Batum / Babbitt
Beal / Williams
Free agent PG (dragic, Nash, Hinrich) / smith

What else is CLE giving POR?

b\c #6 & #11 to ove up 2 spots to #4 and then down 13 slots to #24 is not a good deal....

Something to consider about Drummond is that he forgo-ed his senior year of high school and went straight to college so he had one year less of experience. Seriously just look at his profile dude is a beast http://swishscout.com/?page_id=1632

Those who compare him to D Jordan are wrong simply because Jordan was never considered a lottery pick until the last month or so while Drummond has been heavily recruited his HS. Jordan has never had Drummonds physical ability.

Good points.

Being that Drummond interviewed with Spurs and Celtics, it is highly likely those teams are contemplating to trade for a top pick (Kings?). Pierce or Parker likely gets the talks going.

Then again, if Blazers trade for the #4, there is no guarantee Bobcats pass up on Drummond.

Big gamble but if it fails, we'd at least be in position to be drafting near the top of the 2013 draft.

Hopefully Portland would find a really solid assistant coach with a lot patience to work Drummond.

I honestly would rather have Lillard at 6 and whoever at 11 (Jones, Leonard, Sullinger) than getting Drummond at 4 and nobody worth it at 24.

I just don't see us doing that deal. The five guys behind Davis in this draft seem to be interchangeable on the value/talent scale. 11# and #24 are not however.

There is nobody with Drummond's upside in this draft after Davis and I'd be fine with us picking him at 6. I'd force the cavs and kings to make their own choices and simply take whoever else is there amongst the top 6.

If it works out, we'll get Drummond, bpa at 11, Goric in free agency and possibly Freeland and Clever which would be a great off season for us. If we don't get Freeland, we could still sign Hickson.

I would sign Hickson, even if they brought Freeland over. We know what JJ will give us, we have no clue what Freeland will provide. If both turn out to be good, then we can makea trade to swap one of the PF's.

I would be alright with 4, 24, lotto protected future 1st, for 6 and 11. Drummond has the potential to be a game changing Center. If he comes close to his potential, he's worth every bit the 11th pick that would have to be added. Its a huge risk, but that's the type of risk worth taking when trying to be more than just a treadmill team.

Does anyone else think that Teague is very underrated? I think he is a better prospect that Marshall, and right now his stock is near the bottom of the 1st. I would really like to draft Drummond 6, Rivers/Ross/Waiters at 11 and buy a 1st to take Teague in the low 20's.
