Those who compare him to D Jordan are wrong simply because Jordan was never considered a lottery pick until the last month or so while Drummond has been heavily recruited his HS. Jordan has never had Drummonds physical ability.

ummmm I'm pretty sure Deandre Jordan was considered a high lottery pick for almost all of the year but his final year in college was hampered by injuries, therefore he fell.

I totally forgot that about Drummond though (forgoing his senior year). Still though, I'm confused as to why he consistently looked like he wanted to be anywhere but at UCONN when he played.. Hope I'm wrong but if he was intimidated by the college level of competition he's going to really disappear in the NBA..

100%. Been saying this too.

Teague has NBA tools and the potential to be the best PG in this class. Elite athleticism, great size/length. Top notch ability to penetrate defenses. Played like a PG in an NBA-esque offense. Has the ability to shoot (although his real talent is breaking down defense with his handles and speed, which is a star trait for a guard). His older brother is an NBA starter on a good team, and Marquis is similar but showing more true PG skills.

He is not as developed as either Lillard or Marshall, but in 3-4 years could pay off in a big way.

Taking into account potential and value, Teague in the 20's is by far a better pick than either Lillard or Marshall in the late lotto. And Lillard at 6 would be a disaster.

That's a fairly bold statement.. I feel like if our front office (who are scouting all of these guys and comparing them to each-other) feel that he is the BPA on the board when we pick then I have no problem at all taking him.. Honestly whomever we pick I will just trust that we went BPA and I think that's all of us can hope that our FO does.

If we can't get either Marshall or Lillard at a spot we like Teague is someone Id love to get in the mid-late first round with a bought pick.

I feel like there are a few guys in the late first early second that I'd like to take a chance on.. At this point I think we could use as much talent as possible on the roster.. Maybe if Moulrtie, White or Teague fall we'll do just that.. I think any of these guys later in the first would be absolutely awesome.

So if we traded #6 and #11 for 4/24 and got Drummond and Teague would you guys be happy?

If it works out, we'll get Drummond, bpa at 11, Goric in free agency and possibly Freeland and Clever which would be a great off season for us. If we don't get Freeland, we could still sign Hickson.

Right now it just really doesn't seem like Drummond is going to be there at 6 because the Kings are high on him. If he's not, then I'm perfectly okay with drafting Lillard. I watched the combine and he managed to impress me. He wasn't missing any shots whenever they showed him on camera and multiple reports are saying he's been the most impressive in workouts so far.

No.. Not at all.. Our team doesn't need to completely rebuild and with these two picks they might as well. Both of these guys need a good 2-3 years before they're ready to be starters and that wastes much of LaMarcus's prime.. Is that the message you want to send to your franchise guys?

Stay where you're at (unless there's a low cost move-up and we feel there's a guy we really want where we're trading) and select the BPA at 6 and 11, no matter what the position. Then address needs in FA.

The Blazers don't have any franchise players to worry about upsetting.

I would not be happy with Drummond and Teague at 4/24. Not because I dislike the players, but because I think the value of that trade is aweful. If we could get Drummond at 6, Rivers at 11 and Teague in the low 20's, I would be estatic. My ideal draft, other than ending up with Robinson or Davis.

Maybe in your opinion.. But the fact is either they will continue to build and put pieces around LaMarcus or they completely rebuild and start from scratch. I'm sure Olshey isn't going to completely rebuild.. Because the last guy with that idea is now the GM in Charlotte.
