Tv or live? Live it sounds like Mark Mason, he’s saying RipCity every chance he can too.

Sharpe with 0 points on 0-9 shooting in the half while Devoe with 17 points on 7-10 shooting. Never would have expected that.

Sharpe’s shoot is obviously off tonight, but it’s apparent that he needs to improve in other areas such as moving without the ball and not turning his head on defense so much. Would really like to see him have a better 2nd half for another poor half could have some negative impacts on his confidence.

Hopefully this is good info for all of those pushing for Sharpe at SF...it doesn't work. SF on offense is a specialized role for the Blazers and it has been for years and years. The 3 always ends up stashed in the weakside corner...which is NOT where you want somebody like Sharpe hanging out. It's the worst spot on the court for lane cuts.

Where'd this Reath fella come from? I've never heard of him, but he looks like a pretty serviceable big.

Other than that, if he’s cold from the floor…how is he impacting the game? That question needs answered this season

He’s also going at what I would say is 3/4 speed. He’s not even kind of looking to attack which i would say is more a situation of it being a pointless SL game. I also think that missed dunk could be screwing with his head. Curious to see how he does after the half time.

I agree on your first sentence for sure. And for most young players that will likely start…that’s fine.

My issue, even with this being a SL game, is Sharps needs to assert himself and separate. If he had already done that, he wouldn’t be playing SL in year 2. Clearly the staff/FO is looking for him to clearly separate himself as a cut above. Not just athletically, but as a basketball player. He’s kind of playing for his solidified regular season starting spot right now, I’d assume.

This is a perfect example of not reading too much into summer league. Devoe guys looks serviceable in this game tho

Nah, I’m not taking too much away from SL vs fundamentals. Those still look great for Sharpe. He’ll be fine.

As I said, he’s here for a reason. No outposts for him to out-athlete people for a week. He could do that as a rookie in real games.

Two nice assists tonight. Not much other impact until that dunk.

I’m looking forward to Walker getting some more minutes this season in somewhat of a ‘tank’ season. I’m much bigger fan of his than Watford. Especially in regards to potential.

Wemby has better court vision than LA did too. Dude will have his struggles early as he adjusts, but still a pretty unique talent.

Sharpe moves to SG to start the 4th and already looking more involved. That TO was terrible though…

just a crappy game from him all around. some brief spurts of promise but his shot was legit not falling the entire game.

I wonder whether Sharpe feels insulted to be on the Summer League roster. I wouldn't have sent him.

Once they get Wemby into a more defined role within the offense, and defense, he's going to be just fine.

Devoe is not the kind of PG that I like. He has zero gravity with the ball in his hands...he can get points going to the rim, but he doesn't make anybody around him better. Give me Mays as a Scoot backup every day of the week.

Sharpe does look a bit lackadaisical out there. I heard in an interview that he's mostly just here because he wanted to have a chance at a SL experience, since he didn't get one last year. He even said something along the lines of "...be with my teammates, take it easy and have fun playing." He's certainly playing with the urgency of games not counting toward anything...

Oh, I hadn't heard that. Never mind my previous post, then. I still wouldn't have put him out there. What's to be gained?
