Turner is a perimeter shooter? Doesn't make sense getting Turner if we traded CJ.

Not even on NeO's radar.

Okay, Milsap might be in play to clear cap n Atl for Horford.

How bout Plumlee and ? for Milsap and Splitter? Gives Atl a cheap backup for Howard and a boatload of cap

Horford is likely headed to the GSW which would leave Bogut available in a deal. Likely
Gasol headed to the Spurs.

Would have to be Davis going out and take out Splitter. Then renounce Meyers and Henderson. Unless you want to renounce all our free agents.

Really prefer Pau over Ian, but don't see why he would choose us over SAS.

I don't like Mahimi. He is more or less a one year wonder.

Give me Aldrich. He makes a great compliment to Plumlee and is far more of a true enforcing rim protector. About as mobile as well.

Mahimi is terrible overrated.

My one hope now is that we somehow get Larry Sanders to make a return to the league with our remaining cap space.

Stephenson is a head case. I wouldn't want him in the Portland locker room.

I wonder why there hasn't been mention of trying to get Horford. He seems more ideal than Howard.
There aren't a lot of good teams trying for him, mostly just Boston and Atl, but atl commited most of their money to other players already.

I mean, I would like that. But I think he wants to stay on the east coast, as evident by his meeting with Washington included in those other teams.

So what are the Blazers gonna do now? Try and sign a backup C or something? Resign all the RFAs (INCLUDING THAT BUM MEYERS FFS) Gonna be a real fun rest of FA lads!

I meant + = plus and - = minus, meaning minus perimeter shooter.

But then I used the - in the following paragraphs, so I see the confusion. I edited the first section to say

Pro: wing defender
Pro: ball handler
Pro: distributor
Con: perimeter shooter

I just feel like this current team is a bit unbalanced. I'll probably regret this at some point, but I still feel like McC is their best trade option.

So people were laughing at Portland for the ET deal? What about the Lakers signing Deng at 72m/4y. Doesn't seem too good to me lol

http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nba/766/pau-gasol

The Wolves are "pushing" to sign free agent center Pau Gasol.
Gasol had a long talk with Wolves coach Tom Thibodeau on Friday night, but the Spurs are still in the mix and the Blazers reportedly made him an aggressive offer. Gasol's fantasy value would take a hit on all three of these teams, but he will be 36 years old on July 6 and a reduced role could extend his career. According to this report, the Blazers and Spurs are still the frontrunners. Jul 2 - 9:52 AM

they told turner he is going to start with cj & dame. if it indicates anything its that we might trade any combo of aminu, plumlee , & vonleh. i'm just worried about what happens if we lose harkless & crabbe. i have some solutions for both
we do 1 of these S&T
S&T Crabbe to SAC for WCS & mclemore or to PHI for noel
S&T harkless to CHI for gibson & mcdermott

i have some possible replacement for both too
crabbe - l.stephenson, g.henderson, or m.thornton
harkless - keep turner with aminu off bench, c.budinger, l.moute, or j.johnson

the reason i think leonard accepts our QO is because he is going to realize the market for him coming off an injury is not all that great.

i think this is a possible roster for this season
pg - dame/rivers
sg - cj/hendo/connaughton
sf - turner/aminu
pf - leonard/davis/vonleh/laymen
c - hibbert/plumlee
Defense and rebounding wins games

It looks like the mystery team that Horford was to meet with is Washington.

So I'm OK with Turner, but seeing Deng get almost the same contract... I think Deng would have fit better. And surely Portland is more appealing than that Laker team.

Speaking of the Lakers, they just drafted SF Ingram and now they sign SF Deng up for 4 years. What's their deal?
