Fun fact:
If GSW wins tonight then Varajao gets a ring no matter what because he played for both Cleveland and GSW. You're welcome, Andy.

well, if a once a generation talent joining a team with 3 first round picks in (too lazy to fact check this) 5 years can't win a championship with a small market franchise, that doesn't really bode well for Portland.

I would counter with the fact that the Warriors are able to do so well means that any team can do it no matter the market.

They've drafted well and developed players to significantly outperform their draft position
They've done a good job of player acquisition
They have outstanding coaching and players, especially the stars, who trust his decisions and leadership.

Frankly I love seeing LeBron floundering like this after discarding Blatt and playing GM.

Also how one team does has little to nothing to do with how another team does. Portland was fairly competitive with GS, if they had maybe one more big piece on the team, or another season of player development and chemistry, it could have been a different story. Not to say they are a top team yet, but they showed they can well exceed expectations in this last season.

Yeah watching how OKC broke down in the 4th of game 6 reminded me of us in game 2 VS GS. I hate Green's guts, but it is making me feel better about that. Also no one played them better on the road than we did even game 5 when Curry was there.

We were compettive with them every step of the way. Stotts has a proven system you just gotta get slightly better players like we did in 2013 and you are guaranteed a 50 win season. He has also gotten much better at making adjustments in the playoffs.

This really makes me less concerned about getting better on defense. That isn't a very big deal. Regular season defense is a totally different animal than playoff defense. If we went by regular season defense, we never should have lead over the warriors as often as we did in that series. Or VS the Rockets in 2014.

Man..when the Thunder handle losing better than you.. you got some sore loser problems.

Every player on there team and their coaching staff acting like they didn't get beat down tonight.

Yeah, in my eyes the Warriors are losing it both on the court and also losing their poise. I think Kerr has to shoulder some blame for not keeping his troops focussed but instead letting things get to them. And then to have all the off court stuff effect them as well. I honestly believe they've let everything get into their heads.

But as I've posted on the general board this has been a boring series for me with games being too one sided and outcomes obvious by halftime. I want to see a nail biter series, not this.

Man the people that run B edge really aren't trying to hide their disdain with the current runners of the team ops. I mean you can tell there is ill will after they refused to give them media credentials to games and blew up there LMA was pushed to say "want to be be the best Blazer ever line." when they dismissed them as some 'blog.'

Not to say that sites writers weren't always pessimistic, they said as a matter of fact that the 2013-14 Blazers were a 38 win team tops and that Lopez was a lateral move from Hickson.

Now they are just taking the bad outlook seemingly in some kind of vindictive way. they are just killing the roster and moves up and down. Questioning if it really has depth, the over pay to how how there is no way Turner fits here, Vonleh not ever looking like a NBA player no matter what, to Harkless not being wanted in the NBA cause no team offered him a contract. All of those points stinking like disingenuous takes. Cause how do we not need a playmaker given the load Dame and CJ have? Maybe teams were too scared to tie up cap given we signed Crabbe's big deal etc.

That site has really become politicized as a war on the Blazers front office.

I just noticed with KD going to GS, Dame and McCollum should be the highest scoring backcourt next year and the foreseeable future.

I dunno about that. I think Curry & Thompson will still be the top scoring duo, even with Durant in the mix.

the only time having the top-scoring duo would matter is when the NBA goes from 5 on 5 to 2 on 2

Isn't Olshey's preference of favorable contracts over cap space a little bit like me asking only "10s" out on dates, always getting rejected, "settling" for "5s" and saying "I prefer average ladies anyway."?

And apologies in advance, SebastianExpress...I realize that's a terribly objectifying analogy.
