Well they couldn't get it into Dame and they had no timeouts left, so I understand why they got the ball to him. but that he missed it is just fitting.

Very frustrating performance tonight. Even if we win this series we need to make changes in the offseason.

i’ll admit i listened on the radio as i’ve always been too cheap for cable so my perspective on cj is probably unrealistically low

Teams however do not win when one man has to do so much for the guys end up watching the one
man as much as the defender.

I do think the anger towards CJ needs to be tempered a bit but he seems due for a big game as long
as he continues to take the shots he normally makes. Stotts can help him out if he's pressing by
making a concerted effort to get him going for they will need him if they expect to win this series.

CJ was the key to winning Game 7 against Denver two years ago. I hope he lets this loss stew and he comes out with monster performances in Game 6 and (hopefully) Game 7.

I mean I expect a bounce back performance, the entire team should feel like they let Lillard down more or less.

Not everyone is at fault but this type of **** really should motivate a team big time.

for Antonio Harvey for many years talked of these scorers games expand when they are scoring. If
Dame thinks he his to carry this team, we're going to lose game six.

I think i’m far more upset at Dames historic performance being negated than CJ. Dame played like a winner tonight, whether teams usually win or not when one player has to do this much i’d contend this was a different circumstance, one of those times where an assassin was deployed ala mj/kobe/steph. Sure sometimes those huge games are in vain but today Dames teammates especially cj really let him down. Outside of dame it was brick city in key moments and i would’ve really liked to see other guys elevate their game when Dame quite frankly had the best night of his career. Yes he’s had more impressive highlights but i’ve never seen a better version of dame than the dame who showed up tonight, this was kobe bryant 2000 level

He took 24 shots in 52 minute of game time, acting like Dame should pass it more is a bit off.

Exactly. And CJ had the ball plenty. He took two (2) less shots than Dame. He had wide open looks he missed. He was running the offense when Dame was out and even a few times when Dame was in the game.

Dame should've had like 16-18 assists from the wide open - and we're talking WIDE OPEN - shots he got his teammates. They just bricked them.

If we can get to a game 7, CJ scored 37 points for Portland in a 100-96 victory in Denver in the 2019 playoffs.

Let's hope for a repeat game 7.
