At the deadline let's move this deal for Love or Griffin.

Gosh, no ET, Harkless or Leonard anymore... How am I going to continue making Blazer trades at RealGM?

will miss Harkless defense, I thought he had potential to develop into a more consistent offensive contributor & Meyers will be missed too, what an amazing playoff performance..

im not sold on Whiteside ...he is emotional immature and inconsistent, figured we would have taken a chance on Boogie...
but i will trust the process..

I'm more interested in next summer for we'll have Bazemore and Whiteside coming off the books
and a potentially desireable expiring contract in cJ.

Talented players who need the right support and system to flourish is the intangible benefit of having a leader like Lillard. I mean, I think there are a lot of intangible benefits to building around a natural leader like Lillard, but this is definitely one.

I'm more interested in this year's trade deadline.

He is a beast. Low-key might be better than Nurk.

jamalkandur wrote:Wow this great for Blazers, Whiteside was unhappy about Spoelstra's dull coaching and lack of touches and honestly he was giving his 50% at best, a new fresh start would give him the much needed boost. Remember his '15 season and multiple double digit blocks, the dude is a complete package(defense+offense) when he's motivated. This is my hot take Blazers will return WCF while Whiteside is their starting C.

Yeah, Whiteside wanted out of Miami. I don't blame him, we suck right now.

Whiteside is very underrated. When Coach Spo allowed him to play, the guy put up 29 pts, 20 rebounds, and 9 blocks against the Spurs a few months ago.

Portland just got a lot better with this trade. You won't believe me right now, but a motivated Hassan Whiteside is a better player than Nurkic. You'll see when he has 20 rebound, 9 block nights. Lillard is going to have fun throwing him lobs.

We turned Plumlee into Nurk and Collins, Meyers into Whiteside. It's like you don't need real assets in this league.

It's because of the new culture of players forcing their way out of teams and demanding trades.

Whiteside wanted out of Miami, was giving 50%, and that was it.

I don't think he's as offensively talented as Enes, but defensively it's not even in the same universe.

Portlands got a roster now where they can go 1 in 4 out. Unlike in Miami where their shooters sucked and teams could pack the paint against Hassan, Portland will have shooters around him 24/7. He's gonna have a ton of space to operate under the basket in Portland and he will be excited to play here with guys he's close to in CJ and Dame. So I expect him to have a bounce back year.

This team is definitely improved both defensively and offensively as far as I can see.

Yeah pretty much the same deal with Nurk. Great for us asset deficient teams.

That was tongue in cheek since Kanter said Zion was Randle with hops.

What great duo to have on defense. Collins and Whiteside are gonna be Block city.

you do realize that most of those moves are just fixing the moves he made during the 2016 offseason, right?

Portland still has a need for perhaps someone like Nene to provide muscle but I'm enthused
about the teams chances with Dame/CJ, Hood, Bazemore providing spacing for Whiteside
to operate inside. Portland can allow young players like Simons and Little to develop at
their own pace.

How amazing it will be if Kwahi ends up back in Toronto and the Lakers with $32 Million in
cap space end up with leftovers?

Charles Barkley is on The Herd right now and said he likes the trade for Miami. He said he likes the kid from St. John's, but didnt know Mo's name. He then said he thinks Leonard can be a star. What??? Barkley picking the Blazers last season means absolutely nothing now. (sigh)
