Ant is showing he's got great scoring potential so far this season. Love to see it.

Lol right? I know I'm equally cynical in this thread but who can blame me or anyone the way this season has been?

Blazers taking care of business in OT nice to see Baze getting those back to back 3's that has to feel good for him with how rough he has been shooting this year.

I think the Blazers can build on this game they showed a lot of toughness and really stepped up defensively in the 4th.

Lots of ups and downs this year so who knows how they respond but indeed its a good start that could be built upon. Didn't expect them to have that kind of 4th and Baz finally looking like a contributor at least. I think we ought to look at starting Skal at PF instead of Mario and upping Little's mins. Mario might be an ok bench reserve but so far he's been absolute pooper mario

Indeed, but hopefully we start hitting some shots. This streakiness is not a recipe for a great season.

I didnt like some of the reffing, the no call on Simons dunk was crazy. But glad to see por got a win even if it took overtime to do so.

It was good to see Simons step up and attempt a game winner. I think we are going to see more of that.

Great that Portland could finally break their losing streak. Great that Bazemore and CJ hit some key shots late - hopefully that will be a sign of things to come.

yeah, the win is nice

but....Dame came into the game averaging 38 minutes, the most in the league. And there's a B2B coming this week. He played more than 44 minutes in a game to get a win, at home, against a 10th seed from the other conference. Stotts is grinding Dame down, and that will come back around later in the season. Dame has the double burden of being the main scorer and the only guy who can consistently run the offense. That's a heavy load without also having him lead the league in minutes. Fatigue leads to injury. They have to get Dame's minutes lower

Between Dame, CJ and Simons, Portland has enough firepower to be in games. As soon as they
stop trying to play Whiteside in Nurkic's role in the offense, he's going to produce double doubles
each night. I've got hopes for Little in his rookie season to play in the old Crash Wallace role
in that he will bring energy and badly needed size and strength. Perhaps Pau if he ever gets back
will provide 12 mpg in P&R situations with Dame. The thing is they have enough shooters to hang
around .500 and can perhaps at the trade deadline can flip Bazemore's expiring contract for a
serviceable front court player. The big question if settling down and playing .500 ball in a
very tough western conference.

Dame has moved up to 200th on the combined NBA/ABA scoring list.

I thought at the beginning of the year if we make it out of this first 20 games at .500 we will be ok. Of course at 4-6 it's been a rough start and we have underperformed and lost games in dysmal fashion which has been disappointing. But if we are at 10-10 or even 9-11 we can hopefully use HCA as an edge to jump up the west & get ourselves in playoff positioning. The end of the season features TONS of games at the Moda

I thought whiteside had better screens, focus, and positioning this game, like maybe he is working on his impact on winning and not just stats. There was a recent lillard article talking about how they are working on that and it seems to be showing a bit.
