Man it just feels moot, sactown and indy have a straight up knack for beating us at losing

Yeah, been saying for awhile that I don’t think Portland can catch either… just going to be too difficult with how equally bad they are.

Which is quite something… the Blazers literally created a G-League team and can’t lose more games than two teams who still have talented players playing in every game.

The draft really doesn't matter with the Kings, who keep drafting the wrong guys every year

I would be surprised if he wasn't the main backup behind Nurkic next year.

He really reminds me of old Pryzbilla, but with less shotblocking and a less Mister Mcgoo'ish offensive game.

Great rebounder, underrated passer, knows his limitations, sets great screens, excellent motor (Especially for a big), will cost peanuts (I hope we can get him on a 3-4 year VM type deal).

I think barring a 3PT shooting rim protector appearing out of nowhere (The ideal backup for any range limited C like Nurk), then rolling with Jusuf / Eubanks / Watford is absolutely fine.

Worth noting that Eubanks has consistently posted excellent WS/48, a stat that is pretty indicative of a rotation worthy player. Anyone posting above .125 WS/48 is generally a net positive on the court. Further worth posting that Eubanks generally has been a better shotblocker than he has shown in PDX so far, hopefully that improves moving forward.

I am pretty good w/ the PG, SG and C rotations to be quite honest.

PG - Damian Lillard / Anfernee Simons / Kris Dunn
SG - Anfernee Simons / Josh Hart / Keon Johnson
C - Jusuf Nurkic / Drew Eubanks / Trendon Watford

TW - Brandon Williams

All available assets (Trade, FA, draft) should be infused into the F spots. My main caveat being I would take Duren if he is BPA due to upside (I still think he goes earlier than expected).

I don't think Portland can catch the Pacers. They only have one possible win left on their schedule and they are two wins 'ahead' of Portland, with ahead being behind in the opposite dimension of tank-world

right now, Blazers and Kings are tied and they have 2 games left against Houston. Kings will be tanking hard though because I'm sure they would like to be 6th instead of 7th in the lottery

doesn't matter much because Portland and Sac. are tied in the win column. Kings have those two games on the road against Houston. Blazers play at OKC. Keep in mind that there are no tie-breakers in the lottery other than a coin-flip for better lottery odds

the big wild cards are the last couple of games of the season. Indy, PDX, Sac all play their last 2 games against playoff teams and almost always, some of those teams will be resting primary players if their playoff seeding is locked

In the grand scheme of things, the Kings are likely numb from the need to tank after the past 10 seasons
of tanking and in any event, would likely pick the wrong player, even if they won the first pick.

Let's say Portland does the Grant deal and ends up with the seventh pick. Portland's choice will fall amongst
Mathurin, Murray, Griffin, Duren, Sharpe and Davis and three of these guys are guards leading to a glut of
guards on the roster. All that tanking for another guard or a guy like Duren who might be two years away
from being ready.
