He and the whole team deserve some blame for the first quarter hole and the late game collapse. They also deserve some credit for turning a 16-point deficit into an 8-point lead. Dame’s turnover near the end and weak defense against DiVincenzo were key factors in the loss for sure. He’s also the only one who scored amidst Golden State’s 16-2 run to close the game. Dame didn’t have a good game, but he’s not the only one.

Totally numb to this loss. I think after the second or third time Golden State swept us in the playoffs, I accepted the Warriors own Portland. Bad match up or something. Even in that year when they were tanking, all 3 of their season wins were against Portland (or at least that was what it felt like).

Steph was out. Dame put up 34. Blazers put up 40 in the 3rd. And the Blazers still managed to blow it in the 4th.

Hat tip to them. But when Steph and Klay are healthy, they always brought their A game against Dame and CJ to prove who the best back court in the league was. Before Chris Paul got old, he used to do the same against Dame. Show who the better point guard is.
Because love can burn like a cigarette.
And leave you left with nothing.
Leave you left with nothing.

The rise of the Golden State Warriors, and how they did it is the obvious lesson to be learned. I Feel like there's huge similarities between Curry/Thompson and Simons/Sharpe, difference is, we held onto our Monte Ellis.

The Treadmill continues for now, and the blame starts at the top with Jody. Dame is the greatest shooter Portland has ever seen without a question in my mind, but he is an average PG at best. I don't expect any change in TEAM success, until Dame asks out, or plays out the remainder of his contract. More of the same.

If Lillard is average, I wish we had a full team of average players. Average players dont average 28 points, 7 assists, 4 rebounds per game. Sure, his defense is average and his percentages could be a bit higher. Perhaps if he had better players around him, those percentages would be higher. Simons and Grant started the year great, but have been inconsistent since.
