Chauncey is a **** idiot. With Dame sitting and the team clearly tanking, why the **** did he not start Shaedon next to Anfernee???? Are they not the future of this team?

At this point I think he’s trying to “teach” something to Sharpe.

Thybulle will be back as the 6th man replacement for Hart and GP2.
Reddish can build value in his extended try-out.
Shaedon has plenty of time.
Nurkic needs to play well with effort and stay healthy. Ant, too.

Best they can do is likely the 5th worst record … 6th. It’s worth it.

Yeah, needless to say, I’m not seeing anything redeeming about Billups as a coach. Players don’t seem to fight through anything for him, he’s not a great Xs and Os coach… still waiting for that defensive mindset to show up like he said he was going to bring… so basically we have the same terrible defense and refusals to play young guys from the Stotts teams, but insanely worse offensive schemes and nonsensical rotations.

Blazer fans should be jumping for joy if they get to the 5th or 6th position pre-lottery. Fantastic year to be top 6.

Since starting the season 10-4 the Blazers have proceeded to go 21-33 over the next 54 games, that is a pretty damn abysmal 38.88% win-rate.

A big shakeup has to occur this off-season or I could see Dame getting more restless. It's one thing if he is on a team that can consistently make the playoffs it's another to be battling it out for a top 3 pick.

I hope he does, I love dame but for better or worse we need to head Into the next era building around simons Shae and whatever young pieces we get for dame. If we stink at least we have a real shot at number 1 in 24

Stopped following the top coaches poll on the general board. I know Billups came in 29th. Who came in 30th? 3 boys sitting on each other's shoulders wearing a trench coat pretending to be an nba coach?

Well right now we have a 7.5% chance at the #1 pick the worst team in the NBA has a 14% chance, so it's not like getting a #1 pick is completely out of the question. The worst team has better odds for sure, but it's not an insanely higher chance like it was before they flattened the odds more.

We do have a 31.9% chance at a top 4 spot which is also pretty damn solid, the worst team has a 52.1% chance so again quite a bit better but I wouldn't claim it's way better. We also might win less games than Orlando who currently has a worse record so those odds might go up a bit more.

Simons is not a point guard. Trading Dame to build around Simons is, in my opinion, a terrible idea.

If the Sixers flameout in the playoffs this summer you absolutely see if they're interested in Simons, Sharpe plus any pick 2-8 plus future picks to try to pair Dame with Embiid here.

Simons isn't the answer. Trading Dame to clear room for him and building the future isn't the answer either imo. Dame is having the best year of his career and has shown he's still got it in him.

Who would you pick if they ended up in the top 6 in this draft?

This draft seems to be heavy in SF's and guards after Victor.

This was such a huge loss combined with a huge win by OKC, who's now two games up on us. I think we've got one game left against them and I believe they've beaten us three times so far this year. We're in prime position to hit 5/6. I don't know if we can catch Orlando for fifth, but..

Well, for one, I said pre-lottery because it’s still a decent-ish shot at getting into the top 4 when you’re at that 5 or 6 pick range. Secondly, not totally sure, but at this point, the Blazers are severely talent deficient. A player at almost any position who’s skilled and can contribute right away at a high level is valuable, as is any potential for making a splashy trade with their picks and players.

One again, I am stewing with rage that the Blazers won that game in Orlando.

This is where I’m at too. Sharpe, Simons and any picks not tied down for whatever star (real all star, not OG Anonobi-types) shakes loose this summer. Butler, Embiid, Towns, Siakiam ( - maybe)… push all chips in for Dame to give him at least 2-3 years playing with another player of his caliber. That’s really the only option outside of the Blazers just striking lucky in the lottery.

That said, if the Blazers do get the #1 pick, I’m absolutely going to my nearest casino and putting some money down on a roulette table… either Black, Red or the number pick that the Blazers were at and moved up from… haven’t decided yet.

It would get interesting if Portland ended up with the second pick. Would drafting Scoot lead to
a Dame trade?

Doesn't a tied record result in a coin flip for the lotto?
