Dude you are just never happy. Lol. Sounding like a blazers fan. They are winning 4 games in the first half of the season, now they’re not “winning enough”. I can’t make this up

Just being realistic as I see it, my man.

EDIT: Also, I never said that they would win 4 games. I said I wouldn't be shocked if they only won 4-5 in the first 40 which are largely against WC teams. My guess is around 9-12 games in the first half of the season. And we've seen enough leads evaporate vs. decent teams and decent coaching to know that a 10-15 point lead isn't safe before halftime.

No ball movement, no rotations and off-ball screens, nothing. Just ISOs and two man screens (not even calling it pick n roll/pop)..
Is it so hard to instill 5 drills and demand the team every offense begins with one?

Scoot got fouled on each of those drives...both should have been And1s.

Lol. DeflAYTON...

Clingan has been a better player in his limited time than Ayton. He just has to learn how to tighten up the PnR game. His screens are too weak, and the ball handlers aren't using them.

Not sure about subbing in Scoot for Deni here...I expect a play for Hawkins 3 out of the TO. Scoot tends to get lost after the second pass...

Scoot has been the better player on offense tonight though ( 7-9 vs 1-9)

I like what Ive seen from Scoot this season so far. I thought he was solid in the first game besides the 3s not falling.

I just wish we'd get ant dealt and open it up for him. Worst case he stinks and then we know we can take a pg if that's bpa in the draft

A classic resort to ISO-panic on 4th Q. If you want a team to develop - wins/losses don't matter - Just stop entering panic mode. Take a timeout, plan a scheme for attack, let the players execute it. Let them become better. When the offense is just 'Clear the way for X" - that is not a developmental basketball. Cmon

Played out basically perfect for Portland! Competitive loss #1, IN THE BOOKS.

I'm not worried about Deni...he'll come around. Want to see the Blazers run more stuff for him in the post with cutters.

Much better game by Scoot overall. I don't really care about counting stats--just overall feel at the position was better.

Ayton missed shots he usually makes. I like seeing small contributions from Murray. Camara was lowkey, huge in this game.

Dislike, still a little too much midrange ISO play from Simons and Grant from my perspective.

Hawkins was a player I liked as a 2nd round shooter out of UCONN...glad he's showing what he can do, and value as a 14th pick.

Simons cannot leave this team soon enough. L is strictly on him.

Actually got to watch the game tonight. Found the game on channel 302 (Xfinity). Looks like I'll get to watch more than 1 game this season.

Not happy with Ayton. He played too many minutes in the 2nd half. Should have left Clingan in a few minutes longer. Ayton just makes his shots more difficult. He always turns away from the basket. You're frigging 7 feet tall. ACT LIKE IT!!!

Wanted to see more out of Deni. That last play was horrendous. That was the best they could do?

the last 100 seconds of that game, for Simons and his hero-ball-hog mode, was one of the worst performances I've seen by a NBA player in clutch time. Yeah, probably some recency bias there, but geeeeezuzzz, Simons was bad (and yeah, some of that is on Billups for apparently calling those plays)

I don't think Grant or Scoot touched the ball in the final 2 minutes

Simons-Ayton-Grant took 57 of Portland's 90 shots (63%), and they played 36-33-40 minutes respectively. I know there are people here happy with that distribution; I'm not one of them. It's not what I was hoping to see this season, but I guess it's what I expected from the Cronin/Billups duo. Knowing those 3 will be the featured Blazers frees up a lot of evenings this winter. I won't tune in to watch that mediocre big-3
