Just play the guys who want to play in the NBA.

Everyone else needs to sit on the bench for guys who quit aren't going to be in the league after
their contracts are up.

If we cant move Ayton this summer (Or ideally, even earlier) I would be in favor of simply buying him out before next season. His lack of heart and hustle is poison.

There is a term called 'energy vampire' - a person who sucks the energy from your or a group of people. DeAndre Ayton is a basketball energy vampire. I cant think of a better way to explain what his mere presence does to this team when on the floor.

^ yeah but then the cba would make us stretch him and he'd be on the books for in the neighborhood of 5 more years.

teams don't have to stretch a player's contract. They can simply waive or buy-out and absorb the cap-impact over one season

That's how it used to always work. You buy a player out, you're on the hook for the cost of the deal, but that's it. The amnesty to stretch provisions were later things... the stretch provision is actually pretty awful... unless you want to pay a player for a full decade and have a portion of this contract count against your cap.

It's useful in a pinch to sign a big name player, but should never be used outside of that... but Andrew Nicholson definitely loved it... thanks again Neil, another bang-up job of shackling the Blazers with a decade long problems like you did with Larry Nance Jr.

Mr. Statistician Face Man
@tomhaberstroh
Scoot Henderson 39 points.
Scoot Henderson 8 made threes.
Youngest Blazer ever to accomplish both feats, per @Stathead.

Every L matters.

Indeed. Just wish the losses were a bit more competitive

It's every Blazer fan this season for us to go 0-82 and every one of the 82 losses were by 5 points or less.
