Scoot with 23-5-7. I think he will end up being a better player than Sharpe when all is said and done

The Blazers are 6-1 since Billups benched Sharpe.

It's almost like we should have not wasted the last year and a half not letting him develop...

Nice to continue to see good games from Scoot. Hopefully his better play is fuel for continuing to improve.

Still feels like this team is made up of “pieces” rather than any one or two players you can build a system around.

Maybe Scoot will just bloom into the pre-hype player we hoped he would be? That's about the only way there's a star player coming to this team anytime soon.

If this team does something stupid and makes a run for the playin... they could resign Billups...

Seriously? You really wanna go through this?

CHI, a team that is reportedly already steering into a tank, and POR won that game at home

MIA, a team in total disarray with the whole Butler drama, who totally half assed it in the game against POR

ORL, for a team with already horrendous offense, missing one of their best defensive guards in Suggs, Wagner, coming back from injury, and Banchero, having his worst game of the year, plus several other key players missing the game

CHA, a team missing 3? 4? of their top players, clearly tanking better than POR, so impressive when they won by just a couple points.

MIL, a team with basically 2 very good players, and no one else, and their 3rd option, Middleton, who is completely cooked. Yeah clearly they are a title contender, seriously?

ORL, at home, clearly a team that is not a legitimate playoff contender, can anyone really watch them and say they are? Outside of Wagner/Banchero, maybe Suggs, but he didn’t play tonight, they literally have nobody els. They are a playoff pretender

But yeah, sure you’re right, it’s all because Billluos benched Sharpe….

Great insight from you, as usual

Yeah, fingers crossed…although there aren’t many who have shown huge leaps at his position and age.

Tonight is another example of about where I thought he could peak if he were to hit his ceiling. The fact that he has done it a few times before his 21st birthday is at least positive signs.

 So easily triggered!

The Blazers haven't had a 6-1 stretch in 4 years (and I know you didn't know that). It wasn't even that long ago that there was no way the Blazers would have had the same win-loss results based on all the factors you went through so much trouble to point out going on with the other teams. But please continue to argue the results aren't really the results we have seen even though word is benching Sharpe like that motivated other players that led to the best results we've seen from Portland since the Stotts era. And continue to be very defensive about it on top of it. Let me know if you have anymore excuses coming. I'll get the popcorn ready.

It’s beginning to look like I’ll have to eat crow on Black. He is sooooo passive offensively. He reminds me of the yippy version of Ben Simmons minus the 90 yr old’s back…

One has to be pleased if Scoot and Sharpe begin to develop, even if that development puts the
team in the back end of the lottery.

Remember the Atlanta Hawks ended up with the first pick after winning 36 games. Blazers are
playing at roughly the same pace as last year's Hawks

It’s almost like with Simons gone and Scoot having been starting in his place for the last year and a half, we could have seen some development sooner…

Almost just literally **** like that.

LOL, Shem are you really Tom Haberstoh slumming it on these boards trying to be incognito?

Context matters? I would think that you would know that? Here is some context for you, 19-29, -.6.3 point differential (#26).

As for results, this is a non-playoff team? 3g behind SA, 5.5 behind GS\SAC for the last play in spot, but hey your right, Billups for coach of the year! Seriously, this is a team on a road to nowhere, but keep sunshine pumping for them. Hope they are paying you well.

Yeah, people keep bringing that up, that is an outlier. Banking on that is foolish, but then again Cronin is a fool.

Granted that's an outlier but then again, I've cared more about both guards making real progress
this season than the 2025 draft.

Let's say both Scoot/Sharpe sustain their level of play and the team finishes nineth or tenth in this
draft.

One would think the goal would be to find the best fit between Deni/DC if the progress shown by Scoot
and Sharpe make tanking for another guard less of a priority. I'd still like to find the next LA, a big bodied
PF who can help DC up front. Let the teams ahead of them, choose one of the many 6-3 guards in this
draft.

The Blazers were 21-61 last year. It's called improvement. How's that for context? It's part of the rebuilding phase that went way over your head. But the moment you had to bring up their record instead of the recent stretch to try to discredit what is going on is the moment you lost any credibility of anything you just recently argued.

What it shows is you realize that your previous arguments have no merit thus you need to change the subject and try to throw the whole season in my face because you're mad that the Blazers have played this well without Sharpe in the starting lineup. Talk about having a stick up your f'ing ass. Reading your posts is like listen to Donald Trump ramble like the orange buffoon that he is.

You shouldn't judge based on one game. He scored in double figures in eight of his last nine games and averaged 13 ppg over that stretch. His shot making is still a weakness, but hes generally been pretty aggressive this season.

Return to Portland Trail Blazers
