It's time to tank for Ayton with this injury, might have played his last game of the season. It's time to
lose as many games as possible

That ship has flown. The winning streak effectively closed the door at a realistic chance at a top 3-4 pick. Chauncey isn't going to allow a tank. He has his coaching career to think about. Cronin is all sorts of delusional, so counting on him to make a move like purposely resting not hurt vets isn't going to happen.

When have I asked that they don't score? You're getting all worked up over words I never said.. Id like them gone via trade but we are stuck giving them minutes as long as they're here. I just wish the minutes would increasingly go toward youth over time rather vets especially if the vets aren't doing anything exceptional.

Appeasing Dame or not the signing was stupid. He was a glorified non all star whos only worth maybe half what he got. I dont get the necessity to appease a star anyhow especially when the team stinks and has not clear shot at contention. We needed a home run type of trade and maybe even 2 home run trades to contend with Dame and those deals never came. In hindsight we should have moved on from Dame sooner but I certainly wouldn't have made promises to grant as he clearly wasn't the piece that would get us over the top

But that's all water under the bridge, we are where we are. Your praying for the ping pong god and if we don't get it we will try again next year? In the meantime the team is showing signs of life, and your angry about that?

The chances at a 3/4 position before the lottery was never a realistic option for Washington, NO, Utah and
Charlotte are setting a torrid pace for losing.

Portland will be a solidly placed mid-lottery team and it really doesn't matter after the top 3, for there are a
wealth of guards in this draft.

I'm wondering if Toronto earns themselves a top 4 pick and Portland offers up Sharpe to get up to 4 to pick
Edgecombe. Gets Portland out of having to extend Sharpe by sending him to his hometown.

Signs of life over what 11 games? This team isn't making the playoffs or even the play in, and we picked a really bad draft to fall just short. So yes I do hope we win 3 games to close out the season and put ourselves in the best position to add a superstar. And then next season actually try once we hopefully get a decent coach

If Sharpe gets anywhere near a max extension I do that trade without blinking

Yeah.. I think if it gets to a qo we kinda have to match to not lose an asset but it doesn't feel like the best option especially if there's a top 5 pick in this draft to be had. I have my doubts that offer would occur though

Agreed, especially playing at least part of the time against Jokic

Maybe they just give the job to whoever bombs the interview the most without them saying anything?

I don't think Sharpe is a bust but the guy simply doesn't have the desire to consistently play up to
his physical talent. I'm wondering if playing with another guy who has physical talent (Ayton) but
limited motor has rubbed off on Sharpe.

I want us to lose but goddamn, i dont think ive seen a single play ran. Wow. It's amazing we were this close.

Also, i would look into trading Sharpe but there's no way Cronin would ever do that. Sharpe and the 9th pick for 3? Bailey has all the shades on Melo including the ball hogish play, but he has a high motor and plays both ends. He's also 6'10. Sharpe just looks lost most of the time and i think he's actually regressed under Billups who can't develop players. I don't think Murray is as bad as we think, but man, i can't help but think about how we essentially traded Hart for him.

We were 5th or 6th before the win streak and Atlanta jumped from 9(where we are now) into the first. Anything is possible in the lottery but we went from having a 14% chance at 1 to 4%.
