The Spurs will have three high-quality starting guards to go with Wemby.
The Blazers have no high-quality starting guards to go with no number one option.

Think about this, a team that POR could have "out tanked" SA got the #2 pick and a team that finished just behind POR, DAL got the 1st pick, lol

I am not a conspiracy person, but LA getting Luka for a song and then DAL getting rewarded with Flagg? GTFO

and SA getting Harper to go with Fox, Castle & Wemby? Yeah Bert, push all your chips in to be a "playoff also ran" :banghead:

Dallas probably sneaks into the playoffs, gets Kyrie back, makes a deep run. Or everybody stays/gets hurt and they get Dybantsa too.

The NBA is such a joke. They REALLY need to stop incentivizing losing and fix the lottery system.

I find it hilarious that if you asked basically any fan what team they think the NBA would want Flagg to go to, they'd say Mavs and Spurs...and that basically happened. It 100% feels rigged.

Don't worry the nba will give us a fair one next season and everyone will forget about this. And the cycle will repeat itself

Will it be 10 or 15 years of mediocrity before we fold again? This is not a team with any business of winning

Perhaps all the teams need to start sending their best players where the league wants them to be for
the league will reward them with the #1 pick

not quite...soon, we'll hear about Simons and Ayton agreeing to massive extensions.....then it's complete

Better for everybody would be to just do away with the pretense and lottery circus and let incoming rookies sign wherever they want. At least then teams have to maintain cap space and compete (before watching them all sign in LA anyway).

You know, there is now a lot of talk about POR trading the pick. Why? Because they dropped one spot? This is idiotic. Besides, I don't see a player, who is available, that is WORTH the #11 pick.

No, you take the pick, hope you hit & if not then hope that player is at least that player is a key rotational piece and you move on. I would, if I were POR, pivot towards a longer rebuild, rather than "go" for a meaningless role as the "Washington generals" of the NBA playoffs.

Doubt Bert/Joe have the intelligence to see that though...

Way to kick a fan base when they are down :nonono:

But you are probably right, I don't think this current "ownership\management" gives a crap about being a contender, they just want a playoff pretender to make their profit\bottom line look as good as it can.

Deni and toumani to LA for Vanderbilt? Probably not enough from our end for the nba to agree to giving up a high pick...

Idc what we do with it at this point, not super stoked about a late lotto pick after having to deal with Chauncey at few more years now and maybe Ant as well. Honestly if we arent a contender I hope we arent good enough to be middle of the road because that's probably something this management would be fine and dandy with for a whole decade.

Ok end of rant, shoot for a superatar, that's the only way we will have any chance to contend. Idc if we trade the pick or keep it but either way we need a number 1 option or we haven't got a prayer. In fact if we only have 1 fringe all star at best we might as well bet against this team on playing any more than 5 games in a first round exit especially with chauncey as coach

To rub salt on your wound:
The winning number was 10-14-11-7 and the Blazers drew 10-14-11-6.

Off by 1...again.

The Blazers have virtually zero chance of making the playoffs next year unless they trade for another star.

Just wait till we start cashing in those Bucks picks with ours-that’ll be the proper rebuild.

If only we had sent Dame to a big market, maybe we would've won the lottery.

Really getting hard to stick with the NBA.

Hopefully you're right. Although once again that means they're moving the goalposts on us.
