I agree, if anything ballboys like me are the most trustworthy. They are the ones who have yet to be corrupted by the evil soulless demon that is realgm.

Typically, when someone posts something like that, people want some type of validation... e.g., a link to a professional article which makes that claim or a team/club connection, or simply a history of making claims that come true. TBPup has a history of his claims coming true so we don't really need validation. Unfortunately, there have been a lot of new fans joining RealGM over the last season or two who did not understand that and ragged on him, even though he's been right the past 8 or 9 years he's been making claims. People don't trust people on these websites so they want some form of validation. It's not necessary and certainly does not give reason to rag on a poster for making a claim, unless it's totally out there. Then it's open field day on em! hahahahaha

Sorry, I was merely pointing out that his 'sources' could just as well be his aunt Shirley in Connecticut. I would agree that being a freshman alone doesn't make LB a non credible source, but considering how little we know about his/her credibility, it's hard to believe anything he/she says at this point. That said, I agree that there is a remote possibility that LB is in 'the know' and I send my apologies if I wrongly judged.

I think it is fair to ask for more information in this case (although absolutely out of bounds to rag on someone based on post count, Oden2--that's a TOS violation). So lickety--you say you are not an insider, but you know information that isn't known elsewhere. Can you explain, without giving your source away, how it is you're not an insider but have inside information?

I would rather not say publically on here so as not to give up my sources confidentiality, but if any of the mods would like to email or pm me I would be more than happy to let them know. Then if they feel that I am justified then they can post to whether or not I am credible or not. I will leave it to them since they have the long-standing credibility on the board. Mods, just let me know how you would like to communicate with me. Thanks.

Check out the very top thread on the Portland Forum. It's an email address you can email the mod's at. I'll keep using TBPup as an example. He typically shares his information with Billy because many times, he cannot say specifically what is about to happen because it would blow his source, the deal may not happen because of that, etc. He'll often times let us know something is coming down the pyke and then we post 80+ pages speculating what it might be! hahahahaha Sounds like that same scenario might work with you lickety and mojo.

LicketyBrindle...I respect how you have handled this as far as trying to remain a degree of confidentiality. Good for you. Your claim has not been outlandish neither have you tried to make a big deal out of it which leads me to give you the benefit of the doubt. Sometime you just know people or happend to be in the right place at the right time.

Before I got a small degree of access, one of the first things I broke was about Bob Whitsitt leaving. I heard about it several months before as 'informed speculation' from someone who was a nanny for a former player who still had association with the team. (I know, 6 degrees of seperation) Upon checking into who they were, what they said and why, it became pretty obvious they knew what they were talking about and sure enough, that summer, Trader Bob was gone.

I hope you are right about Rick, I would really like to see him back.
Billy, you are welcome to pass along my cell # to LB and we can compare notes a bit.

Thanks TB. I have followed this board for a long time but I just joined a few months back. I have read your posts and you are always spot on with your assessments. I appreciate your objectivity in giving me the benefit of the doubt. I just am lucky that I am in a position to get some info from people I know. I'd love to talk with you so please do have one of the mods pass your # on to me. I have communicated with Mojo so maybe he can pass your # to me as he has my email. Hope to talk to you soon.

I am very interested to see how this all plays out. Of course, it will take several months before we'll get a verdict. I only wish i had claimed some sort of "inside information" and used it to prosthelytize all sorts of fantastic scenarios before signing up on another account to watch out it all went down.

:-)

I've communicated with lickety offline, and I'm pretty confident he knows of what he speaks on this issue. I don't want to say anything more for fear of giving away some of the information he shared with me, but I do think we can take him at his word in this thread.

Then I am STOKED!

Lets just hope that Nate runs off to LA and Adelman isn't resigned by Houston.
