Does this work in the trade machine(s). This trade couldn't happen until mid-December, right?

I assume we turn right around and waive Kuzma (I would hope anyway).
Yes. It works on the Fanspo machine where you can disable the "recently signed" restriction. Correct, Adams can be traded on Dec 14 and DFS Dec 15. That gives them 6 weeks to find out if Sheppard is ready for the big time or if Amen can play point. I am guessing that neither will be true and that the Rockets will be struggling big-time by mid-December.

Well, I think they will play around with different lineups.

Amen at PG - a huge lineup
Sheppard at PG
Offense runs through Şengün
Offense runs through Durant

I also think we will see jumps out of all their youngsters (Sheppard, Smith, Amen and Şengün).

So, it may not be until they playoffs that they really struggle.

Any deal involving Jrue would have to be some sort of 3-team trade, though I don't believe POR wants to trade him (or career IR case, Williams for that matter), they should, but they are under the delusion they are a meaningful NBA playoff caliber team and apparently a 36yr old broken down Jrue is a key piece of that puzzle, as for Scoot? Well, I guess he can just come off the bench again...with Sharpe...

BTW ESPN Top 100 players...not too favorable to the "in it to win it" Blazers....

Avdija @ #66, Camara @ #78, Jrue @ #91....ouch

ESPN Top any thing articles aren't worth the pixels they use up to print on a screen. Even when I agree with them, they're still utterly useless articles.

Hard to make salaries match and VanVleet can't be moved for a little after a month.

Jrue would be a perfect fit for them, but just don't see how to make it work tbh. Also not sure about their long-term books either with KD maybe needing to be resigned, Thompson and then the max deal I think Sengun got. Jrue's contract may be prohibitive.

Houston is hard-capped at the 1st apron. Making salaries work for a Jrue trade is a major challenge made even more difficult because of the hard cap

I figured something like this was likely the case, but lacked the desire to actually dive into the numbers.

there are pills for that desire issue
