I think the key is adding depth among our bigs so that when Winslow or Nurk miss games we have someone to step up besides Eubanks.

Let's step it up people. We have just 7 more days until the Lottery, and for better of worse, I honestly can't wait for the date to pass. I'm going nuts thinking about the what if, knowing we have just a 10.5% chance, but the 3 teams above us are only at 12.5%. I feel the odds are similar to: One roll with one dice. Pick that number 1 through 6, and roll. That feels about right to me. Maddness for me until the 16th, but I will try to keep Good Karma flowing as best I can, and I hope ya'll will be doin' the same then maybe, just maybe.....

I'm starting to think that Brandon Miller has a very good chance at actually being the best player out of this draft...at the very least, I think there's a good chance he'll be #2. He's a pretty ideal fit for the Blazers. Fingers crossed...

Only slightly draft related, but 1080 the fan this morning had an interesting thought with tea-leaf reading around the Blazers and BRoy coming back for the draft lottery... Roy is currently coaching HS BB and may be looking to take his next step... The Blazers just announced their new G-League team but have yet to announce who's going to be coaching that team... Could this be on the horizon?

I don't have any hope for anything other than it would be cool for Roy to cut his NBA coaching teeth with the Blazers. If he's got skill, he would realistically be coaching almost anywhere other than Portland as coaching vacancies are fairly normal and teams scouts can see up and coming coaches relatively well, so I think he'd be poached before the Blazers are ready for a new coach / have a vacancy.

My only hope would be for the Blazers and Roy to repair the relationship because he was a huge part of bringing this team back from almost moving in the early/mid 00's.

Jordan Walsh would be a home run pick at #43 if he falls (And most mocks have him in that range, albeit I can see a PO team taking him late R1).

Think he would be a pick in the 20's if he stayed for his sophmore year.

6'7, 7'3 WS - calling card is defense. See a ton of Herb Jones in his game.

I think I want Oscar Tshiebwe or Edey in round 2. Productive guys who can really rebound and affect winning at a high level.

I like the 6'11" Lithuanian kid from AZ, personally. Super efficient lefty. Can put up smart points and rebounds. Ain't going to be a great defender or shot blocker, but gets heads up positional steals...and there is just something about Lithuanian bigs that seems to work out.

I'm also liking what I see out of Adama Sonogo...his knack for the ball and uber soft hands remind me a lot of Zbo. Another guy that you're probably not going to draft for defense, but will play smart positional defense and can put up points and rebounds.

Sonogo has some nice skills, but I worry that he is only getting SRP chatter due to the win. Its odd his BPG went down from 1.9 to 0.8 despite basically the same MPG. But w/ that developing 3 he does have some value.

Seems like a Jeremiah Robinson-Earl level guy.

There is a kid Isaiah Miranda who had a Sharpe season (Commited to FL State - didnt play) who is 7'1 with wild athleticism. I think he goes late R1 in the end but if he was there at 43 it would be hard to pass just on raw talent alone.

I also low key think Leonard Miller could end up going Top-8. Guys that size that can play SF always have a premium (6'10, 7'2 WS). He was a poor 3PT guy (30%) but his FT gives me hope (79%). I can see Indiana reach a bit on him, he is a nice roster fit if they go space-and-pace heavy.

That goes against NBA rules that no team can have two players over 6’9”… right? That’s a thing?

It's less to do about adding a random 6'9 guy but adding a guy who can help the team be
competitive underneath its own basket.

It'll be interesting to see the official measurements for if Jarace Walker for example is closer
to 6-6, there is no way he'll be a top 5-6 pick.

In the end, Portland's pick might be BPA which might be one of the Thompson twins or perhaps
Anthony Black. How the BPA fits on the current roster is a good question but either Thompson
twin would be a good fit alongside Sharpe and perhaps might fill the Nicolas Batum role as a
secondary ball handler which has been unfilled since Portland traded Nic.

Jordan Walsh killed it at the combine although his measurements were an inch less than your number for both height and wingspan. Had a great vertical as well. There were questions about his shooting but he couldn't miss. If teams feel he has fixed the mechanics of his shot he is a first round pick. Would love to get him at 23.

Jarace Walker measured under 6'7 but had a 38 inch vertical!

Give me Walker and Walsh. I want well rounded guys who play with a passion. If only we could get a center like that.

Leonard Miller was probably the biggest riser. He's longer and has more vert than expected. Has a nice game which screams OKC pick.

Bobbi Klintmann seems to have a first round promise already.

If the Blazers get #2, BPA could be anybody. Combine is fine, but until the Blazers work people out it’s hard to know. Of course, the projected Top 5+ might not even do workouts…

If the pick is 2, I’m hoping for Brandon Miller.
