I kind of liked that full-court press at the end of the game. I'd like to see us employ that more often. Problem was that Miller couldn't keep up the pace.

Give Armon Johnson the back-up PG minutes. Alongside Matthews, Batum, Wallace and Aldridge you have a scrambling squad that can create a lot of easy fast-break points and were the opposition down and make it easier to compensate for Roy, Miller and Camby's games.

Problem is that If we put Armon Johnson as PG for full-court press, we will steal the ball but he'll give it back with a TO

That is indeed a problem.

I think Armon has a ton of potential though if harnessed correctly. I remember him hounding Steve Nash earlier this season. You can't teach defensive instincts. If only he had point guard skills.

I really believe that Armon could develop into a nice pg, a not quite so dominant/athletic Russell Westbrook is how I see his ceiling. Thing was, Westbrook was kinda bad early in his rookie year. Armon seems to have the work ethic and the swagger to become better. Unfortunately, Blazers don't have the margin for error like the thunder did when Westbrook was a rookie.

He needs to get confident with his drive, so he can get past defenders and still be thinking about his teammates. It will take getting his offensive game rolling to open up other opportunities for him. I do think he has PG instincts though, but he has to score at an NBA level.

If Wallace isn't starting by our next game...I'm going to be seriously angry. You start your 5 best players. Miller/Roy/Wallace/Aldridge/Camby is not only good, but it's intimidating.

I don't think Roy is ready to start yet. If we're starting our 5 best players right now, taking injuries into account, the starting 5 should be Miller/Matthews/Batum/Wallace/Aldridge.

After two brutal losses, perhaps its time to inject g.w into the starting lineup ??Give us abit more energy at the start where we seem to just throw it aaway

My only worry with that is only one player is really a decent outside shooter in that group. If defenses were packing it in on us before, what would they do with that lineup? Since they don't move on offense, and with Roy wouldn't run, that lineup would make me a little nervous.

Personally I'd rather Rudy in the starting line-up than Matthews. Rudy seems a lot more crisp offensively than Matthews. His movement without the ball, passing game with Aldridge and defensive effort are all plusses.

With Batum and Wallace both being very good perimeter defenders it would be better having Matthews in that role off the bench.

IMO the bring Gerald off the bench experiment has been a failure. Now Nate wants to put him in the starting lineup to shake things up, but he will have to learn to mesh with the starters. He could have been learning to fit in with the starters the last two games. Time is running out on the season, and Nate can't figure out a lineup. Oh well, with Nate you take the good with the bad.

While I wouldn't necessarily disagree I would say that if you want to replace Rudy for Matthews, than Matthews should slide over to the 3 and replace Batum as the starter if Rudy takes over. Matthews, at this point, is really a better player than Batum. Both are streaky shooters, both are good defenders, but Matthews has really been more of a scorer and doesn't solely rely on the 3 point shot where Batum does more-so (Matthews does well moving without the ball). Batum just has been, well, not good this year and Matthews has been a bright spot and deserves to be a starter with how he has played for us this year.

Roy should embrace the super sub concept in the second unit, keep things stable when our first guys go out, have LMA on the bench while he's in/
