One starter from last season is starting tonight. Three of tonight's four reserves are new to the team this season. Surprise it does not look like a well-oiled machine? LOL!

I'm surprised. The problem isn't the surprise. You have to be logical about what you expect can be done about it. When something takes time you have to give it time.

Can someone explain to Whiteside how an entry pass works. I.e, not when there's a defender between you and the teammate your trying to pass to.

There wasn't very much contact on that. That's called a flop.

The Blazers are -15 with Carmelo on the floor. Part of that is they forced the ball into his hands early to try and get him going. Should have eased him in a bit slower

Blazers need to figure out how to get easier shots.

Team was setup to be a player at the trade deadline, consolidating the contracts of Meyers,
Harkless, etc for two very large expiring contracts. The downside are nights like tonight
for Dame and Zach are not available and other guys like Simons hardly played.

Simons chipped the paint off the rim with that miss.

The problem with this theory is it's easier to trade 2 or 3 $10M contracts than it is to trade one $27M contract.

Why on earth is Little not in this game? He was having a great night and was doing a lot of things at an extreme level of effectiveness.

I also think we might have the worst 3rd quarter team in the entire NBA it seems like every 3rd quarter we get outscored by 10+ at the minimum.

It's time to start questioning Stotts again.

I know that there are some issues with the roster. But the team hasn't gotten any better at all, and a lot of it isn't just a talent on the court issue. The team has been making the same mistakes all year on both sides of the ball. There's been no improvement whatsoever. Some of that has to fall on Stotts.

We're getting too deep into the season for guys to consistently have no idea what they're supposed to be doing on both sides of the ball. The leash on guys like Bazemore, Hezonja, and Whiteside needs to tighten. We can't have them out there playing waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy outside their capabilities.

I want to believe this team can come back but at times it feels like this is our reality this season. Between veterans who don’t play defense and the low efficiency players who seem incapable of passing or getting to the foul line it feels like we are absolutely lost without a healthy Nurkic going forward at least when it comes to ever being a contender

Blazers aren't just out of sync. The last 2 games lacked effort. Not playing hard is not acceptable.

One can have an idea what is expected, but still can't do it. Every teacher or coach knows that.

Anthony stole his starting spot by no merit of his own. Honestly if I see this melo experiment cost little development I may get sick Even if we do get a good pick out of this season

What's wrong with this starting lineup?

PG - Lillard
SG - CJ
SF - Little
PF - Melo
C - Whiteside

I am not sure why Stotts is obsessed with 3 guard lineups it seems like he wants 3 guards on the court 100% of the time almost.
